Vehicle Detail

I'm selling my 8 Passenger Van for a smaller vehicle. I moved to the city, and as much as I love my van, it's just not a practical vehicle anymore. No rust. It's my daily driver. 1992 Ram Van D250. 173,000 miles 235hp fuel injected Magnum V8 (318) w/ 4 speed Automatic Transmission. ABS Moderate Sound system Seats 8 (with room to spare) Alloy Wheels. (good tread on tires) Moonroof (a moonroof just pops up but doesn't slide back and forth like a sunroof) Heat, Rear Heat, Air conditioning, P. Locks + P.Windows + P.steering + P. rear view mirrors. Kelly's Bluebook lists this '92 RamVan at ~$2,200 in good condition. This Van is in "fair" to "good" condition and has upgrades, and is priced accordingly. History: I purchased the Van from a dealer on March 15, 2010 in Washington state to move out here to PA. I purchased it from a dealer for $1,100 with a check engine light and about 150,000 miles. (I really paid $1,300+ if you include paperwork. $1,700+ if you include repairs and paperwork. Over $2,500 if you include the recent modernizations like the stereo system, new water pump, belt and fans.) It originally had a check engine light on. The problem was 2 clogged fuel injectors. I replaced them and added new spark plugs. No problems since. I drove it from washington state for an avg. of 15mpg. I then replaced the serpentine belt and water pump at about 160,000 and installed 2 electric radiator fans. I also religiously change the oil+filter every 3,000-4,000 miles. It looks like the previous owner scraped a pole on the rear passenger side. Minor cosmetic damage, and I didn't even notice it until a month after I bought the van. Problems: The moon roof has a slow leak, so on days with heavy rain it will drip on the bell housing. (It's really not bad, and I will seal the moon roof for you if you ask me too. It won't go up and down anymore, but it will be waterproof.) Has no carpet and no headliner. (Because the moon roof leaks. I removed them so they wouldn't mold. I have rubber foot guards throughout to protect the paint, and it honestly looks a lot better than before) There's no horn. There is a small whirring sound from the engine. It's either the alternator bearings, or the power steering pump. It doesn't effect performance.Small damage next to rear passenger taillight. (from the previously mentioned pole.)The transmission linkage doesn't go into park. If you put the parking brake on when you stop, the van's not going anywhere. I purchased the Van this way, and it hasn't changed in 20,000 miles. I drained the transmission fluid when I first bought it. It was clean and there was no metal in the pan, so I don't suspect an internal issue. It never bothered me enough to investigate it. Dodges are infamous for their transmissions from the start, and i didn't want to go fiddling around in a working transmission. It's either linkage, which is a common issue linked with cars not going into park, or the park pawl., which is a little pin that essentially jams the gears so the vehicle won't move.As you can tell in the pictures, there's no passenger side armrest. I have the arm-rest, but don't have the tools to fix it anymore. Special features: Fog lights. (Not wired in. It came that way from the dealership)Mirror tented windows (the windows look like mirrors from the outside) Hitch and Hookups with 2" ball and locking pins(can't be stolen). Functional 7 point wiring.Kenwood (KDC-222) CD player head unit with a Sony amp and a 12" sub in a truck box that sits behind the driver. (It's not loud, it just adds a lower range of bass than the stock speakers.) 2 electric radiator fans installed to take the unneeded weight off of the drive belt. (the previous fan was attached to the water pump and belt driven. This frees up a little power from the engine) Class C automotive fire extinguisher within reach of the driver (see pics) Full size spare tire The van is naturally sold As-Is. I was a mechanic for a few years, and I trust the van.I would have no qualms about driving it across the country again. It's strong, reliable, and gets good gas milage for it's size. I'll include the previous stock radio as I will have no need for it.(AM/FM)I also have the original chrome fixtures for the flooring that did not look right after I removed the carpet. They are a little beat up, but if you want to install carpet again, you will need them.
