Up for auction is my 1956 Eldorado Barritz Convertible. I have owned this car for the past 16 years. The car has been stored in a dry barn. The car has the gold package, gold grill and 5 gold saber wheels. Options are power steering, brakes, windows, seats, antenna and trunk lock. In 1995 I bought an NOS engine and transmission. The pad in front of the passenger side head has no numbers stamped and is blank. In 1956 four of these crate engines and transmissions were ordered from Cadillac. Three were installed in a Massachusetts mill to run Dynamo machines, which are large generators. The fourth one was never installed and placed on display in a Cape Cod bar. The only parts not NOS were the dual carburators. I oiled the cylinders and turned over the motor from time to time but the engine has never been fired. I bought parts over the years, see pictures. The power seat mechanism has been rebuilt as well as the front suspension. The shocks are new as is the windshield gasket. The body has been completely stripped of all paint and painted with self-etching primer. All trim has been placed on the car for pictures and can be easily removed. Not in the pictures are the radio and the fifth saber wheel which I have. I am selling this car because of other projects I am trying to finish. I will answer all questions honestly. These items are available to the highest bidder if they wish to have them.
