Here you found my 1983 Mercedes 300CD turbo diesel coupe . Mercedes started in 1982 to fit a turbo charger in the 3 liter 5 cylinder diesel engine . This engine already had a reputation for being super reliable and economical . Now with the turbo they also had plenty of power . This car cruises comfortably at 90 mph while still getting 27 miles per gallon of diesel . These turbo diesel engines are known to go for over 500k miles without even a valve job . If you keep up the maintenance on this car , it will out-last most newer cars today . There are several Mercedes of this era on Ebay right now with over 400k miles and still running well . All i am trying to say is , that 152k miles are actually low miles for this 28 year old car .  It is finished in black with the light cream MB-Tex interior . It is a very elegant color combination and i do get lots of compliments on it . The paint is in very nice condition all around . There are no dings or dents at all . The interior is also very nice , as the pictures will show . The carpets are clean and there are no rips or tears in the seats . The wood is still looking great .  I did upload many high quality detailed pictures . So if they take some time to load , please be patient . They can show off the car  better than i can describe it .  The best thing about this car is the way it drives . It always starts up right away and is a pleasure to drive . It is plenty fast and the shifts the way it is supposed to . This 300CD would do great as an every day driver . It is one of the few classic cars you could really drive every day and not think twice about it . You could also do a bio diesel conversion and drive it on vegetable oil or free waste oil from restaurants .  Mercedes only built 8007 of the 123 series coupes with a diesel engine and a lot less with the turbo . So it should also be a good practical investment . If you take car of this car , you should always be able to get at least your money back and it should appreciate over time .  I would prefer to sell this car to somebody local who could come by and see it . But i would also be willing to assist in shipping or a airport pick up . Feel free to ask lots of questions BEFORE you enter any bids . I will answer them quickly and honestly .  This is a 28 year old car in great condition and it will be sold without a warranty "as is " and "where is" .
