1983 Honda XL600R This Honda XL600R is not for the faint of heart. It has incredibly low mileage, currently clocking in at 7,513. It has been in storage since 2007, and is in excellent condition. Before the bike was put into indoor storage, it recieved the following items: Oil Change Tune Carbs Carb Gasket Kit & Rebuild Oil Filter Screen Cleared Bolt Torque Check Wiring Check Timing, Plug, Wire Grease All Fittings Rebuild Front Shock & New Oil Brake Shoes # 406636-1 & 352911-2 Throttle Cable # C6507E Tusbaki Chain # 11-141-104 Clutch Kit # 38-633 Clutch Cable # C5502T Rear Sprocket # 8-195-43 S Front Sprocket # 8-287-15 The bike does start and ride, but will need a few items before it is thoroughly enjoyed. Current Issues: Hard to start Splines on shift lever are worn. Can be shifted as is, but part needs to be replaced. Splines on input shaft are in good condition. Missing air cleaner Dent on left side of tank Tear on rear right side of seat Needs a Battery - lights & signals work when running Key was lost, needs an ignition switch (currently hotwired - main harness was not damaged) Horn doesnt work Emissions components have been removed, and are included. Overall, this bike is in excellent well maintained condition, and did start with some fresh fuel after sitting for over 3 years. The tires are in great shape with no signs of rot, and were stored lightly inflated. All signals and headlight work. Basically it needs a quick tune up, an aircleaner, and a shift lever, and will be ready for a round the globe journey. It has many new parts, including a rebuilt front shock. Both shocks feel great, and the engine produces endless torque and TONS of power! Included with this XL600R are all of the original emissions parts, the original ignition switch, side panels, bottom guard, a complete factory service manual, and recepits for parts listed. Also included is the original New Vehicle Title from 1983, along with a current clean, transferrable New York Title.
