1964 Honda CA

I bought this from the family of the original owner. It has the original sales receipt and owners manual and Honda booklet. Bought new in Nov. 1963, it is a 1964. I have the pink slip. This bike never left this little town for 48 years. The condition is not bad for a 48 year old bike. It had been sitting, so I rebuilt the carb., adjusted the valves, adjusted the cam, set the timing, cleaned and adjusted the points, rinsed out the tank with clean gas, cleaned the on/off valve, put fresh oil in it and it fired right up. The tank is very nice. No dents and pretty darn clean inside. The inside is about a 9 1/2 out of 10. I was told the milage was original at 5142. No parts have been repainted, it is original. I lubed all the cables and grease fittings. I am sure the whole bike will need a once over to make sure it is road worthy. The bads that I see are: No battery, I borrowed one to get it running, there is rust on the handlebars, Small dings on top of front fender, dent in right side coil cover, one mirror missing, I have the other but like the handle bars it is rusty. The bars and mirror chrome did not last like the other chrome items on bike. Exhaust baffles are removed. I only have one good one. It is not much louder without them. The black plate is original to bike but it is registered with a newer one. I believe you can add this to the bike at the dmv. Still nice to have the original plate though.
