BARN FIND LOW MILLAGE PACKARD 1926 touring body by DIETRIC 4 doors convertible Very nice and solid car. The restoration on this car has been start and never finish. The old man who start the restoration decide to sell his baby, health problem. He is a Packard fanatic and did restored many cars in the past for a museum here in st-jacques. Here is the list of what he did on the car,motor and transmission has been open, inspect and put back together everything was like new. He removed the original tire on the rims and replaced them with 4 brand new one, the original one never been changed before. All seal has been changed. New brake. Rebuilt generator, starter etc. all the mecanical was done. The frame has been blast and paint black, still very nice with no surface rust at all. Chrome has been redone at the exeption of the front light. The interior restoration has been start and need final detail. The top is complete,the canvas need to be replaced The bows and hardware are complete. All gauge are included, they are in box for now. The original hood ornement,flying lady need to be rchrome. All the leather gaiter for the leaf spring are new, 2 are on the car. The running board lights are complete and in very good condition. The brass lights each side of the cowl are in very good shape also. have all the interior rechrome doors handles. Windshield frame has been rechromed. This car have the original transmission and motor. Still have the complete original exhaust in very good condition had the interior of the muffler repack. New brake, the gas line and tank are in very good condition. This car is pretty complete, the old man told me that, car is ready to start but need a set of wire for the spark plug and a distributor cap, rotor. He did put some oil on the piston and crank the motor every year, motor turn freely. This car was find the state of Maine, after a couples in vacation from New York in 1929 get stock in Portland with the Packard and sell it to an other owner, who sell it to Mr.Lawdon from Canada,who give it to one of his empoyee, the actual owner.
