Vehicle Detail
This is a very clean example of a 1975 Cb500 Twin. Clear Tn title for the bike. The bike has just under 3400 miles on the speedometer and the condition of the bike reflects the low mileage. The bike runs and rides out great. No leaks or noises from the engine. The paint shines great with only a few minor blemishes on the tank and side covers. Mainly one chip in the tank and a few light scuffs on the side covers. Pictures should be able to show this well. They are not bad at all. The bike has had an electronic ignition installed and works great. The carbs have been recently cleaned and new plugs installed. A new chain has been put on as well. The chrome on the bike looks good but does have some light pitting. It shines great though and the pits are only noticeable up close. From 5 feet away the chrome looks perfect. The wheels roll true and shine great. The spokes are clean and unbent. The bike has Metzler tires that hve good tread but are beginning to split on the sidewalls. The rubber is ply-able and I would not replace them, but that will be up to you. The exhaust and mufflers look great, but the mufflers do have a spot on each of them that can be seen in the pictures. Just a little rash on one and a spot on the other. The seat is perfect with no rips. The owners manual is under the seat in the original plastic sleeve as well as the tool box cover. Sadly, the tool kit is gone. The only thing the bike really needs are a set of front fork seals and some handle bar bushings to stiffen up the bars. The speedometer had been pulled apart by the previous owner because the faceplate screws had vibrated loose . He did a poor job of removing the crimp ring and lost the trip lever in the process. I would buy a replacement used speedo and take the ring and outer cover off to put on this bike. It has been covered with tape and is not very noticeable, but would need to be fixed if wanting the bike to be cosmetically perfect. It in no way affects the functionality of the speedometer. The flaws I have mentioned are not major ones. I just want to be totally up front so there are no surprises. I have tried to show everything in the pictures and list everything in the auction. I am sure I have forgotten something. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. Payment due with 5 days of auctions end by bank wire, money order, cash , or cashiers check.A $100 deposit via Paypal is due with 48 hrs. I will work with your shipper if that is the route you decide to go. Or bike can be picked up. I will not crate the bike. I am not opposed to selling to foreign bidders, but please ask before you bid. I sold two bikes to Australia last year and worked out fine. 0 or low feedback bidders need to contact me before you bid or I will cancel your bid. Thank you.
