Vehicle Detail
started as a frame off restoration, but i have run out of time and funding. the jeep is pretty much restored. the original body was removed, and then the entire frame was sand blasted and undercoated from the front shock mount back.(haven't done from the front mounts forward, because i was planning on putting a SBC in it and doing the remaining front two feet of the frame with the motor out of the way.) it has a ton of quality new parts including Painless wiring harness, stainless fuel tank, sending unit, new tail lights, rear leaf shackles with 3/8 lift, body bushings, all the bolts that got put back on the jeep during the restoration where brand new stainless(body mounts trans skid plate mounts etc.) complete set of stainless brake lines, new exhaust collectors for the headman headers that are on it. there are two roll bars for it. one that goes all the way to the floor boards along the sides of the front seats, and the stock one that sits on top of the wheel wells. also have a polyurethane fuel tank for it, a brake booster and pedal set. rocker panel guards, rear spare tire mounting assembly, the cherry bomb brand mufflers that were on it when i got the jeep(still good condition and usable). the brake pads and shoes are recent too. What the Jeep needs....... the wiring harness needs buttoned up( all the wires are ran to the proper locations, but i have only had time to connect about half of them. all the wires are labeled exactly where they need to go, and numbered to correspond to a diagram in the instruction guide that comes with the harness.) the exhaust needs to be finished. it is just the headers and collectors at the moment. the windshield frame has some cancer that needs taken care of. or replaced. they are cheap from JCWhittney needs the filler hose for the fuel tank (15 bucks) i would recommend some new tires as well. they hold air, and have tread, but are defiantly aged, and dry rotting. the front two feet of frame on both sides needs to be sanded and coated. its not rusted through or anything, just ugly.....a gallon or hurculiner comes with the jeep. which is about 90 bucks the whole underside of the tub, the firewall inside and out, and all the floorboards and the outside of the tub have been undercoated, but not the hood, and fenders, because i was planning on getting a one piece front end, so i didn't bother with it. i will attach a link to a video of the jeep running before i started in on it. as far as the drive train goes, i haven't done anything with it aside from a tune up. new wires and rotor button and so on...but it only has 35000 actual miles on the jeep, so theres not much if anything its ganna need for a while. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1453041618700 feel free to contact me with any questions concerns or to make an appointment to look at the vehicle in person. i will be as prompt as possible in my response. the vehicle is for sale locally and i reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time with out notification.
