Vehicle Detail

~~oo00oo~~ Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow "LWB" 1976 A full “Haute Couture” restoration – a true jewel of a Rolls-Royce! This is a really classic combination Silver Shadow Long Wheel Base ("LWB") sedan finished in 2-tone Masons black over Tudor grey with hand-painted fine lines in burgundy to the waist lines and the hubcap beauty rings. The Connolly interior is finished in deep burgundy with rich black piping and matching burgundy floor rugs. It is a stunning example that has recently been restored by Park-Ward Motors - a leader in Rolls-Royce restoration with over 30 years Rolls-Royce and Bentley experience. Indeed; "Masters of the Art". The body on this Silver Shadow is exceptionally straight and the paint is in excellent presentation and condition. It was recently repainted at considerable cost by our professional classic car body-shop experienced in Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motor Car restoration. It is a high-end repaint with the car fully stripped down and windows out. The final paint finish is entirely consistent, very shiny and deep lustered and, being new, is without any scratches, chips or dings of any kind. The fine lines were hand-painted by a craftsman of the art and these are done on the waist-rails and hubcap beauty trim rings in accordance with Rolls-Royce factory recommendations. The 2-tone black over charcoal combination is a true classic combination that presents stunningly. A brand new Everflex top in black was fitted at the time of the repaint. The Everflex material is factory fitment to all long wheel base Silver Shadows and the material was specially ordered in from the UK for this restoration and fitted by our classic car upholstery experts to include padding in the mid-roof section exactly to Rolls-Royce specifications. The burl walnut wood finishes - dash forward roll trim, dash board, console, centre radio surround, door cappings and mirrors were redone at considerable cost by Park-Ward's wood restoration experts and they present in excellent original Rolls-Royce condition. The finish is deep and rich with no less than 15 coats of clear lacquer, each hand-rubbed between coats. The finish can only be best appreciated in real-life by "touch and feel". The Connolly leather is in good condition throughout and the deep burgundy with black piping combination of the interior is an elegant contrast with the 2-tone exterior. The leather was recently re-Connollised - a detailed hand-rubbing process which ensures an original finish and presentation. The dash is in excellent condition without any warping or shrinkage often seen on these cars. The head-liner and rear parcel shelf are excellent. All lights, instruments, features and functions are in working order. Chrome-work and finishes are all nice. It even has a factory badge bar fitted. Mechanically, it has been thoroughly checked with anything requiring attention repaired and/or replaced as required. Everything is original so it is to OEM Rolls-Royce standard without modification. The visual presentation under the bonnet alone is admiral in its own right. Everything is functioning as it should, including hydraulics & brakes - correctly pressure tested with various parts replaced/over-hauled (brake pumps, accumulator, hoses, calipers etc). The hydraulic reservoir has been cleaned and the entire system flushed with new Castrol 363 added and system bled. The suspension has also been serviced with various new bushings fitted. As a result, the car drives smooth and tight and without the signature "thumping" sound typical on older Rolls-Royces when traversing uneven road surfaces. All coming to stop upon call. Electrics have been serviced to include distributor, ignition, fuel supply and body wiring. All electrics; seats, windows, gauges and instruments work well. The climate control is in good order with the heater nice and hot and the air conditioning blowing icy cold. The car has near new whitewall tires in excellent condition. The car has been fully serviced and ready to go. This Silver Shadow is a "southern states" car that is clean, dry and rust free. It has NOT been "tarted-up" for sale but professionally restored with all aspects attended to correctly and with pride and passion by craftsmen in all aspects Rolls-Royce. New paint ($10,000), new Eveflex vinyl roof ($2,000) re-Connollised leather ($2,000), wood re-French polished ($3,000), completely workshop inspected and mechanically over-hauled where required. During the repaint process, many new clips, retainers, bonnet & trunk seals and window rubbers were fitted. Even the stainless and bright-work were completely removed and hand-polished off the vehicle and again when assembled and mounted. The car is an extremely beautiful presenting example that is well in advance of any Silver Shadow II and is in excellent driver condition. It easily ranks a 9 out of 10 having had some $25,000 spent on her during the restoration process. This is one of the last Silver Shadow Long Wheel Bases made. It can be confidently said that the 1976 year manufactured Silver Shadow is one of the best as it incorporated all of the technological and design enhancements developed over the life of the model. ~~ This very stately Silver Shadow Long Wheel Base sedan elegantly fashioned with its 2-tone black & charcoal colour scheme is in excellent condition and a fine representation of the marque. It is by definition, not show-standard but has been professionally restored to a level not to be underestimated. It is so nice, it could easily be driven as-is to your next Rolls-Royce meet with great pride and draw considerable attention! ~~ For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below. I am not a broker or main-stream/retail car dealer; I am a professional car collector of some 30 years with considerable experience and knowledge of Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motor Cars. I have a long standing reputation being associated with the marque which I take seriously. I am one of the leading Rolls-Royce restorers in the country. I take a lot of pride in my cars and have fun in collecting and restoring them. However, auctions are not a game so when you place a bid or offer, and you are the winning bidder, please understand you have entered a binding contract. You cannot bid and win the auction and expect not to meet the terms and conditions. Bidding and/or winning does not mean you are expecting me to “hold” the car until you have the opportunity to inspect it. Any inspection contemplated should be undertaken BEFORE you bid of make an offer. You are bidding and/or making offers to buy WITHOUT conditions. A $2000.00 deposit (non-refundable) will be required within 24 hours of the close of the auction and payable by PayPal. The balance of funds are required within 7 days of the close of the auction and must be provided by cashier’s check or bank wire. I cannot accept PayPal for the balance unless you are willing to meet the cost of transfer fees. Full payment must be made (and payments cleared) before the title and/or the vehicle is released. If all the funds are not received as indicated above, I reserve the right the keep the deposit and any other part payments made and resell the vehicle by re-listing or to another bidder. I am happy to assist with shipping arrangements on a worldwide basis but the winning bidder takes full responsibility for pickup and/or shipping and at his cost. As a collector and experienced restorer of the marque, I make every effort to bring my cars to a very high standard but the very nature of these classic Rolls-Royces is such that it is not always possible to attend to every single item, or perhaps I may have inadvertently overlooked an item. Further, a feature or function that is working perfectly one moment, may decide to play-up the next. For this reason it is necessary for the following condition: The vehicle is being sold "as-is/where-is" with no warranty expressed, written or implied. Any descriptions or representations are made with reasonable judgment and all efforts are made to ensure fair assessment and accuracy but they are for descriptive and identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. The seller shall not be responsible for errors in description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, unforeseen imperfection, defect or damage. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have satisfied himself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects at the buyer’s request prior to the close of the auction. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle. I can hold the vehicle up to 30 days while you arrange shipping but you must immediately insure it. I will not bear any responsibility for any costs including storage, transportation, or repair after the close of the auction. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-35 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country”. At least, I have never done that. I have always professionally transported the cars from where I bought them to my home. PLEASE; IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ABIDE BY THESE TERMS, DO NOT BID AS, RESPECTFULLY, THERE CAN BE NO EXCEPTIONS. ~~oo00oo~~ "RRMOTORSINC": Qualified & experienced in Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars world-wide for 29 years
