You are looking at a all original 2nd owner 1980 BMW R100RT. This bike includes all the original goodies. It came out of Alabama and was brought to Florida from its 2nd owner before he passed in 2000. It has been sitting inside ever since. I recently brought it out of storage, replaced the battery and fuel lines, along with cleaning the carbs and it fired up. There is a tap coming from the top right side valve which does not effect the power of the bike, and does not throw out black smoke. It does run but will need to be gone through before riding. The bike will make a perfect weekend project or long term restoration . Everything is there. The original owner kept a book of all the gas stops he made in Florida, which includes the date, price and place he went. I would love to see this bike go to a good home, so I am listing it as a NO RESERVE auction. Buyer must pay for the bike within 7 days of the auction ending. The bike did have the RT fairing which was taking off and I sold, and it does state RT on the title. Checking the VIN on some websites it pulls up as a R100T. The title does match the bikes VIN and does show it as a RT. Just wanted to clear this up.
