Vehicle Detail
1972 Chevrolet El Camino. Flame Orange and gray with black interior. 350 cid, Turbo Hydra-matic 350 3 spd auto, power steering, power brakes, front disc brakes, rally wheels, 185,000 miles. This El Camino is a two owner car purchased by my uncle in Denver in 1972 and by myself in 1987. All the numbers match, no major modifications have been made and most parts are original. This is a complete car including all chrome, spare tire and jack, original radio, original floor-mats, etc. The glass is all good and the engine bay is fairly clean. It has never had major engine or transmission work done but was repainted to original color and had rust repaired in 1992. It currently has a '71 grille on it as the original '72 was damaged at one point and I could not find the proper replacement. It has some rust here and there including around the wheel openings, on the rocker panels, and around the edges of the floor of the bed. A large dent on the passenger-side quarter panel could be easily fixed. The interior does need some work; the bench seat and carpet need repair, and the car was stolen once resulting in damage to the steering column and driver's side-vent window. An extra steering column is included. The car runs fairly well considering it's rarely been driven for the past 10 years. Since 1972 it has been garaged for all but a year or two in the early 1990s. The car looks really good in the attached photos, and it is fairly solid and mostly drivable right now but remember that it does need some work and the tires, brakes, etc, shoud be checked before it's driven. Also remember that it's being sold AS IS. This would be an absolutely beautiful muscle car after a proper restoration.
