This car is being offered in a true no reserve style auction; winner takes it. A $500 deposit is due at auction close via PayPal. The remaining balance is to be paid within 7 days via bank to bank wire transfer or cash in person. This is a final auction sale, NOT an opportunity to close in on a price and then "view" the car. Once the listing ends, the car is sold, and payment is due. Clean title car, 100% rust free, good daily driver, amazing gas mileage and overall a great value. Car was smog checked and has February 2012 registration. New Spark Plugs New Plug Wires Bosch Distributor Cap Bosch Ignition Rotor Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil Porche Oil Filter Fram Air Filter Fuel Filter Transaxle serviced with Synthetic gear oil Coolant flush All New Tires 500 miles ago New Motor Mounts Timing belt and balance shaft belt replaced 3000 miles ago. Everything works, power windows, wipers, headlights, clock, radio, gauges, etc. The cars fires right up, it's deceptively quick, fun to drive, and has great handling. It drives true and straight with no shimmy or pulling. No oil leaks or smoking. No indicator lights on in the dash. The gearbox shifts smoothly, excellent clutch, excellent exhaust tone, and ice cold AC. The car is All Original, except the steering wheel (See Below) Interior - is in excellent condition, no rips or tears. The dash has the usual sun cracks in the middle, but the dash cover looks great, and the baggage compartment carpet is slightly faded, carpet in the cabin is excellent. Exterior - no accidents, no rust, but the car has been repainted once. ** The hood and front valence need to be repainted. One of the fuel lines sprung a leak, and melted the paint on the hood. So I replaced the hood with one from another 1983 944. You can see from the pictures that from a distance it looks ok, but up close the white doesen't match the rest of the car. There are chips on the paint between the headlights. I have the original rear hatch which is included if you want it. The original rear hatch glass was tinted with film, and the film is bubbly. I thought it would be easier to replace the hatch rather than try to get the old film off. ** I still have the original steering wheel, but I replaced it with a Momo "Driver's Wheel", cost $500 new, you can have it for $250 additional. It is a great steering wheel if you want it - or I'll put the original wheel back on if you don't. I can assist with shipping arrangements, or you can fly in to Austin and drive it home.
