THIS CAR IS A 5 SPEED MANUAL NOT AN AUTOMATIC, EBAY AUTOMATICALLY PUT IT IN THAT IT WAS AN AUTO TRANS, you are viewing a 2000 vw new beetle tdi, turbo diesel injected, it is cosmetically FAIR, I am completely honest in my listings and would rather loose money than disappoint a buyer . so it has 181,000 miles on a 1.9 diesel engine with a 5 speed manual transmission, I am gonna say it needs a new transmission because reverse is going out and grinds into reverse, I am unsure if it can be fixed, I would just replace it with a used trans, I have found them for 250-400 dollars, there is a new front bumper on it because the old one is cracked and beat up, the blower motor is hardwired because the person I bought it from tried to save 10 dollars on a blower motor, also the passenger window switch is inoperable, as is the power lock switch, dont get me wrong its still a great runner, but its 11 years old and is definitely in fair condition, the glow plugs are new and it starts up very well in the cold, the radio is inoperable also, and the airbag light is on, the bags never deployed I dont know why that is on, the suspension seems to clunk a bit also not really sure if its ball joints or shocks, back bumper is beat up and interior could use a detailing. NOW FOR THE GOOD!! clean and clear wi title, alloy wheels nice 5 spoke factory vw wheels with great tires, quite exhaust, power sliding moonroof, all lights and blinkers work, horn works, no cracked or broken glass, car starts up and runs great, minus the reverse, 1.9 4 cyl turbo diesel gets 51 mpg!!!! and takes 35 bucks to fill up. this car would be an amazing fixer upper or project or even parts car, so good luck bidding and thanks for viewing, this is a no reserve auction so high bid takes it!!!!
