Vehicle Detail

Up for auction with low reserve is my 1949 Chevy Sedan Delivery. The car has a 250ci straight 6cyl out of a 71 truck with a three speed manual transmission with shift on the column. All glass is there. Windshield glass is free of cracks. Driver side glass is free of cracks. Rear glass is free of cracks and in great condition with the trim but is not installed. Currently the rear window is lexan. The other glass has a few cracks but still in tact. Interior has black carpet covering the whole floor and looks good. The rear interior walls and ceiling are black painted ply wood. All supports for the headliner are there. Dash and speedo are in good condition. Speedo and gauges are not hooked up. Original radio is included and not hooked up but works. Original heater there and works. Bucket seats are adjustable. Visors are there but need covering. Rear views there and in good condition. Headlights there and working. Handles there on passenger side door there and working. Driver side has window roller. Spline for door handle is there and in perfect condition but handle is missing. Carpet on doors. Red rally wheels with baby moons and beauty rings. Original visor included and very solid. Over all, the car is very solid. I have not seen a pre restored 49 this solid. Gas tank has been removed and has 13gal aluminum fuel cell in its place. I don't see any bondo on the car anywhere. The only notable rust I see is on the back bottom of the rear right fender(see pics). Tires are good. There is new exhaust on the car that I think will need to be reworked. BRAND NEW CARBURETOR. Needs a shot of ether to start after sitting for a few days. Sometimes jumps out of first gear. 2nd and 3rd are fine as well as reverse. Headlights and brake lights work great. Currently no blinkers. My husband has driven this car to work 55miles round trip several times with no problem. If traveling a long way or by interstate would be a good idea to trailer the car. This sedan would be a great candidate for a street rod or subframe and v8 it and leave it a rat rod. The flames and paint look like someone did them in the 60s or 70s. They really look nice. The paint really makes the car look cool. This is a great old Skool ride. My husband wants to subframe it and put a tbi 350/ 700r4 and new rear. We just don't have the time or resources now. If I have forgot anything, or if you have any questions just send us a message. We will get right back with you or give you a phone # to call my husband. Reserve is low. Happy bidding!
