This beautiful 1983 Mercedes wagon was finished in " light ivory" (MB color code 623 ) with "palomino" color MB-Tex interior  . The body is very straight and the paint still has a great shine to it . The interior is also very clean , as the pictures will show . There are no rips in the seats and the carpets are in great shape . The original wood panels are stunning and without chips or cracks . The headliner and door-panels look like from a much newer car . It is hard to believe that this wagon is 28 years old .  It has just recently been fully serviced . The fluids and filters were changed and the valves have been adjusted . The motor mounts are new and both axle shafts have been replaced last month ( over $1000,-) . The shocks for the rear hatch are new as well . 4 new tires have been installed last month and they have less than 1000 miles on them . This car  is a pleasure to drive and you do get compliments wherever you go . It always starts up right away and has plenty of power . It cruises comfortably at 85-90 miles per hour and still averages 27 miles per gallon of diesel .  It would be a perfect candidate for bio diesel conversion . This way you could drive it on vegetable oil or free waste oil from restaurants . I have never tried it , but at almost $4,- for a gallon of gas it sounds like a great idea .  You just do not see to many of those wagons in such a nice condition anymore . They are known to go for over 500k miles with the right maintenance . So with only 160 k miles , this one is just broken in . There are several Mercedes turbo diesel of this era on Ebay right now with over 400k miles and still driving well .  I can not think of anything it needs , except maybe a new radio . It is very temperamental and only works sometimes . If you have any more questions or if you would like more pictures of a certain area , just ask . I am located in West Los Angeles and can make myself available to show the car almost anytime . I would really prefer to sell it to somebody local , who could come by and see the car . But i would also be willing to assist with shipping arrangements or a airport pick up .  This is a 28 year old car in great condition and it will be sold without a warranty .
