Vehicle Detail

For sale: Rare 1970 W31 Cutlass. One of 1,352 made in 1970. It is a true W31 and was a special order paint from the factory less than 250 were special ordered in this color. It has been garaged since I have owned it and driven only in the summer. Everything on the car works..blinkers, windows, heater, etc.. The car is in great shape but will need some work before it is driven or showed! If you have any questions about the car or need more pictures. Call me BEFORE you bid !! 612 437 7877 (Jake) Just for ease of posting I will simply list options on the car. Motor: Non Numbers matching .30 over 350, rebuilt in 1997 runs solid and pulls strong. Forged flat top pistons 10:1 compression Was rebuilt with the Edelbrock Performer RPM cam and Intake. 650 CFM Edelbrock Carburetor w manual choke MSD 8 mm Plug wires High volume oil pump Hooker Headers Holley Electric Fuel Pump Flex Fan with aluminum radiator Auto Meter 10,000 rpm Tach with shift light, water temp, oil pressure, voltage gauges Have a MSD ignition box with limiter (not installed) I do have the original "oldsmobile' ram air cleaner --- flapper door works not installed because the intake it too tall and smashes when the hood is closed Transmission is a TH-350 out of a 74 Delta. It will need to be rebuilt before the car can be driven safely. I also have a "OZ" coded 200-4r (also in need of a rebuild) out of an 83/84 Hurst/Olds 442 that comes with the car. 3.91 Posi rear end with W27 Cover The rear springs were replaced right before I bought it. shocks and ball joints were replaced in 2004 brakes redone along with bearings and seals all the way around, Aluminum drums in back The Interior is in excellent shape. New carpet New seat covers in front Arm rest in back will need to be replaced Back seat has two small rips Dash/console leather and wood is in excellent condition Original "his and hers" Hurst Shifter The car was painted in 1997. On the vin tag you will see a "- -" instead of a paint code, in 1970 you could special order these cars with four different colors. this one being "rallye red"... adding a little to its rarity Paint is in good shape very few nicks and shines good. If you plan on showing the car some minor rust repair will be needed (behind front wheel wells) has jumper posts and cut off switch for truck mounted battery in pass quarter panel. B/F Goodrich Radial TA tires 225/60 on 14x7 rims in back, 205/70 on 14x6 rims in front 90% tread left On Mar-06-11 at 10:55:55 PST, seller added the following information: I've had several question about the car and would like to clarify! Please if you have question about the car call me BEFORE you bid. I will help in anyway I can! The transmission "works" but needs to be replaced. slips and leaks fluid through the input shaft seal. The right rear quarter panel was misaligned at the body shop and will need replacement. I have no means to deliver the car. If you are the winning bidder you will need to arrange pick up. I will help in any way I can to facilitate this.
