This is a 1998 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD. The truck is equipped with a V6 engine and automatic transmission. It only has 95,000 miles. The engine runs great. The transmission does not. The transmission is not shifting into the last gear. It is driveable at 45 MPH @ 2500 RPM. I am not a mechanic and do not pretend to know what it will take to fix it. Please don't ask. It may need another transmission, it may be fixable.... I just don't know. The exterior is in good shape. As seen in the pictures, it does have a couple of dings on both sides, but nothing major. It has some scratches. It does not have a sunroof although Ebay won't let me remove the option. The tires are in decent condition with about 65% tread remaining. The interior is in good shape. It has leather interior. It has power windows, power locks, tilt,cruise, and after market C/D. The A/C blows cool, but not cold and only through the defrost. The rear door on the drivers side is not opening for some reason. I have put it in 4WD and it seems to be working. Basically a good truck, but will need some transmission work for sure. Please take note of this. I am going to repeat that. It needs transmission work or replacement. It needs to be picked up on a trailer. I have the clear title ready to be signed over. The truck is for sale AS-IS. I require a $100 deposit due immediately at the end of the auction through Paypal. The balance is due and the truck must be picked up in no later than 7 days from the end of the auction.
