Here is an original California blue plate 912 Porsche from the high desert in Southern California. The car was most recently owned by an elderly couple who are going through a divorce and had to let it go. It was then sold to a friend of theirs who sold it to me. The title was lost and it is long out of the Ca DMV system and will come with a bill of sale or I can help obtain a title for export for $200 extra. This is a nice little car and is practically rust free! The car was last run in 1995 when it was parked due to the engine blowing smoke according to previous owner. The engine turns freely and with some fresh gas it will most likely run. With some tlc this could easily be a driver again. Cosmetically the car looks very nice, interior was redone a while ago but it certainly is all usable for a driver. A 912 in similar condition, but very rusty compared to mine just sold for $6800 (Item number 230587440973) and mine doesn't have rust! Please call with questions 949- 2 8 5 – 8 0 1 1 Exterior wise, the paint is older but looks great and is very presentable! The paint is clean an shines nicely. It has a few small nics, paint cracks and sratches which I point out in the video. The body has 2 dents, one located on driver side fender and the other driver side rear quarter(hard to see). The exterior body is very much rust free. All the glass is in excellent shape. All exterior chrome and stainless is in good original shape. Both door latches are weak and could use replacements, doors close flush and fit well. I have a good original set of latches for $100 extra. The trunk compartment is clean with no rust other than the battery tray. I don't see any previous damage or metal work in the hood area. The car has it's original jack and tire iron and useable spare tire. The interior is in good overall useable condition. The front seats are in good shape with no rips or tears and the rears are in good shape as well. The carpeting is older but is in good condition with no holes or wear spots. Door panels are both in very good shape and doors open and close fine. Dash cover is in great shape with No cracks or warping and the dash face looks good. Original steering wheel looks good and wiper control and turn signal controls are in good shape. Glove box is all there and looks good too! Headliner is in fair shape. Pedal are is dry and has no rust! Overall the interior is in good shape and very useable. Mechanically, this was a running a driving car before being parked in 1995. I was told by the previous owner the engine was blowing some smoke which was why it was parked. There it sat until now in the dry high desert. The engine may run with fresh oil and some carb work. It is reccomended that the engine be gone through to be safe though. The engine easily turns over and I believe it would run with some fresh gas. Currently, the car brakes, steers and the clutch engages. Shifter bushings are worn out, so worn out that I can't say for sure if it is a 4 or 5 speed car! I can't say how the transmission is because I haven't driven the car. The floor pans underneath the drivers and passenger side have been replaced with original pans it looks like, not the best of work but there is no rust. Outside the sections that were replaced there is no rust at all, none on the jack points, no rust on suspension pan up front whatsoever and none in the rockers or doors or torsion bars either. It is a very dry car! engine number: 745195 which is a 66 912 engine, most likely matching to the car! vin: 456730Paint code" 6609 = BlackDoor trim tag: 63-6609-L This could be a nice driver with a little work or would make a great base for a full restoration.
