1970 Chevrolet Nova Classic Autoworx is very pleased to offer this beautiful muscle car- 1970 Chevrolet Nova which has been professionally built and maintained by an ASE Certified Master Mechanic and owner of Smarty’s Garage out of Phoenix, AZ; Tim Smart. This vehicle was nearly completely restored about a year ago and has only been driven and enjoyed on nice days since. When it comes to clean, driveable classic Novas, they don’t come much cleaner than this! This vehicle has a lot of eye appeal and its ready for weekend cruising or street/ strip use! Here is your chance to own a really cool cruise night attention getter! A vehicle that attracts attention wherever it goes! We have sold a number of ’68-’72 Novas over the years and this one may be the cleanest, most complete package we've ever seen. This car needs nothing, it’s turn key and ready to run/ drive as is without issues, wherever you wanted to go. I could go on and on about how beautiful this car is and how obvious the professional pride that was put into the build of this car… but just have a look for yourself! EXTERIOR BODY/ PAINT: The paint and body on this Nova is super straight and very nice. It shows exceptionally well however it is not flawless. There is a small paint touch up on the passenger side quarter panel right behind the door and a shallow ding on the hood at the drivers side near the front of the hood. These are very small defects yet in the spirit of honest and full disclosure, they must be mentioned. Done in original Champagne Gold, the car looks fantastic and presents itself well as you can see in the pictures. The paint job was laid professionally and overall it looks great. The care that was given in putting this car together really cannot be overstated. The chrome and trim are in beautiful condition. The car features a steel cowl hood, it’s not a cheap fiberglass hood. As per NHRA rules, the car has a battery kill switch custom routed through the tail light lens instead of through the body so that if anyone ever wanted to re-restore the car back to stock, a quick replacement of the tail light lens returns the car to stock appearance. Be prepared to be the center of attention at your local cruise, car show or just at the stop light in this eye popping Nova! INTERIOR: The interior of the Nova is very clean and original/ restored appearing, requiring no additional work. The seats have been restored and recovered and are in great shape. The dash is perfect, carpet is new, the headliner is flawless. The door panels are newer and the car has new weatherstripping throughout. Despite what some of the pictures may show, there is a NEW 200W shaft style (knobs) retro head unit in the car with RCA inputs, iPod hook-up and there are NEW 6x9 speakers on the rear package tray. The car features a B&M ratchet shifter and custom installed temperature gauge in the dash behind the lens to appear stock. This is a factory in dash A/C car and the evap unit is included with the car. In the pictures it also shows a clutch pedal installed in the car, the clutch pedal has since been removed but will be included with the car if desired. Overall, excellent interior. Engine/Transmission/Differential: There is roughly $16,000 into the drivetrain alone on this car. Here are the specs: ZZ 383 GM crate engine (425 hp/ 449 ft/lbs)This engine is the GM Performance 425hp ZZ383 383 engine with GM "Fast Burn" heads GM crate engine #12498772 Compression ratio is 9.1:1 It features a 4 bolt main block and 4340 nitrided and induction hardened Crank PM steel connecting rods with high silicone pistons and a steel roller cam. the roller cam specs are .509"/.528" lift with 222/230 duration at .050 lift. The aluminum "Fast Burn" 62cc heads have D ports roller rockers, 9.1:1 compression ratio GMPP open plenum aluminum intake manifold Demon 750cfm 4v carburetor. MSD billet distributor, MSD 6AL ignition w/ 2-step rev control The engine features custom billet brackets. 1-wire alternator Electric fan Transmission is a bullit proof 200r4 automatic w/ overdriveThe transmission has a 1 year warranty from All Trans Phoenix. It has racing clutches a shift kit and a larger servo to apply the band (rectified the common reason these fail). The 200R4 is better than the 700R4 for this car because the first gear ratio is numerically lower than the 700R4 and allows the trans to shift without falling off a very steep difference between 1-2 shifts. The overdrive is also lower allowing the engine to cruise at a much lower RPM. Brakes, Steering, Suspension and Structure: The brakes on the Nova are full front and rear power disc units. Calipers by Wilwood, brakes in like new condition. Power steering system and suspension were fully rebuilt. Drives better than new. The underbody is beautiful on this car. 100% rust free. Nearly everything is new from the front end, steering and suspension to the rear springs, rear end and fuel tank… it’s all new/ newer. The Flowmaster exhaust system still has stickers attached. The trunk is finished nicely and shows no rust or signs of previous damage. The battery has been relocated to the trunk and the weatherstripping is newer. The wheels: Weld Racing Tires: Hankook RA07 215/70/R15 (front) Mickey Thompson ET Street 275/60/15 (rear) In all honesty, this is a no BS build.
