Vehicle Detail
This is a heck of a truck. You are bidding on a 2001 Ford F-150 pick-up with 4WD, a SWB and an extended cab. Exterior The exterior is pristine, and the color is Chestnut, and looks brown or burgundy depending on the light. No dents, no real dings of any sort, no rust, just one nice truck. Comes with bedliner and chrome running boards. There is one small nick on the windshield but it has not grown at all. About 5/8" in diameter. Matched tires have 80%+ treadlife left and chrome rims. Interior The interior is awesome as well, very clean, no major stains or any rips. It is tan cloth and tan carpets with original mats. Added heavy duty rubber mats in the front. Radio is satellite ready and takes Ipods as well. A/C blows cold, heat blows hot. The mileage sits at 139,300. Mechanical The motor is a 5.4L Triton V-8 and the transmission is automatic with on the fly shifting to 4 wheel drive. By and large, everything is in GREAT shape, except for one unidentified motor issue. Now to the motor issue. From what I understand, it blew a coil pack and a new one had to be installed. Ever since then, it has run poorly. It still runs and is not knocking, but it is missing on one or two cylinders. It could be minor, or it could require a rebuild or a new head. I am not a mechanic so I want to make sure the winner gets it as is, and I make no assumptions as to what might be wrong. I did look on Ebay and found a motor with 75,000 miles for $1,450 and it would cost about $1200 for a shop to swap and install a new one so worst case, you may be looking at dropping $3,000 in full rebuild or swap. Of course, it also could be something far more simple and far less expensive. I simply do not know. This truck books out at over $8,700 with a good motor and would be well worth the investment. I simply do not have the moeny to put into it to get it fixed.
