Original 70 340 Duster, just repainted in the original Vitamin C color, base coat clear coat, looks like a 9 to 10 on the scale, not a cheap job. This car has low original miles, as it spent much of it's life on the drag strip. This is a original RUST FREE California car it's whole life. We put 71 340 stripes on it, because we like them. If you want 70 stripes, you can pull these off easy, as they are newly installed. If I was going to keep this, I would put 71 twister twin scoops on, but to each their own. The motor is a 70 block, non number matching, that is totally brand new, only about 20 breakin miles on it. It has X heads, with new valve job, all new SS valves, hardened seats, new springs etc.. The block is .30 over, with new forged TRW flat top pistons, steel crank, ARP bolts, balanced, .484 Comp. Cam.. This has a 340 six pack setup, with rebuilt carbs, and a factory six pack air cleaner ( not perfect, but still looks good). This motor would go for over $4500.00 by itself with the six pack setup. Trans is number matching 727, manuel valve body, shift kit and reverse pattern. The converter is a new 3200 stall. Will chirp tires with crisp shifts. I think the original 8 3/4 rear has 3.91 gears. I do know that this car is very fast and responsive. It is updated with electonic ignition. The firewall is not perfect(all original), as this was a race car. (see pics) This car has non power disc brakes, and manuel steering. Inside is black original bench seats, and they are almost perfect, except for a small 1 inch cut in the rear of the back seat, you have to look for it. Headliner is new, carpet is new, Rallye dash repainted, all gauges seem to work well. Dash cap is OK for a driver, not mint. We did not hook up radio, but everything is there. Door panels look real nice.The front end is all new poly, the exhaust is great sounding, and the chrome tips are brand new. The headers are new. The tires are in good shape, they are all 15", so the axles and front brakes were replaced. The car has Super Stock rear springs.Trunk is the most RUST FREE one I have seen, no rust anywhere, frame rails perfect. The front grill looks great, no broken fins. The front bumper is driver quality, the rear bumper needs rechromed, but no dents. The rims are what they are, I did not want to spend money buying Rallyes, Centerlines, etc., only to find someone wanted something else. ( wheels have 3" studs) This car is not 100% restored to new, but is a lot better then a driver, should win shows with just a little work. Again the paint job is awsome. We can store car for a reasonale time for the winning bidder.
