Vehicle Detail
Original TV Series General Leefrom "The Dukes of Hazzard" !!! NO RESERVE !!!! I am listing this car for a friend of mine. He has purchased a few other projects and needs to make room in the garage. It's time for another Dukes of Hazzard or General Lee fan to enjoy this car. This car will be auctioned off with NO RESERVE. Bidding will start at $5000 and whatever the bidding goes to... is what the car will sell for. This car is very well known in the hobby and most everyone knows the story on how this car was found, checked for authenticity, and brought back to life. The car was taken to many Dukes events through the 2000's. This car is powered by a 400 big block engine and an automatic transmission. The reared is an 8 3/4. The car runs and drives okay but is not street legal. Please don't think that you can fly in and drive the car home. The car will need to be transported. This car was jumped during the original TV series that ran from 1979-85. Due to the jump, the car suffered the usual damage which can be seen in the pictures. This is a fully caged stunt car that has been jumped. Please take into consideration that when a car is jumped it will suffer damage. To make the car street legal, suspension parts will need to be replaced and wiring issues (wires cut, disconnected, or removed for stunt safety precautions) and other functions will need to be worked out. The car will be sold with a COA from the original stunt driver. Last time I tried to sell this car the number one question I got was about WB paperwork... so I will answer that question first. This car is one of about five TV series General Lees that do not have WB paperwork. The only cars with WB paperwork are the 17 that WB sold to the Dodge Charger Registry back in 1991 (hence the reasoning for the "WB Paperwork"). The car is located in Allentown, PA and has been in dry storage. The car was pulled out for these pictures. As you can see, the cars has been autographed by cast, crew, and stunt men from the television series. These General Lees do not come up for sale too often, so here is your chance to own and rare piece of television history. This car will come with a certificate of authenticity and title. This car is one of the very few that are not under contract with Warner Brothers. All potential bidders, Please read the following before bidding: !!! SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY !!!! ~~If you are a serious buyer, you have the funds available to back up your bid amount, and you want a really cool historical car... then bid away! ~~If you are broke... you don't have a job... all you can do is dream of owning a Charger you can actually drive... or you have to get permission from you mom or wife to buy the car after the auction is over... then DO NOT BID! There are plenty of Hot Wheels sized General Lees on eBay for you to bid on. If you have zero feedback, please contact me before you bid so I will know you are serious about buying the car and you understand the terms of the sale. If you do not contact me prior to bidding then your bid will automatically be canceled. If you have 1-5 feedback I would really like a courtesy email just letting me know that you are a serious bidder. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO PURCHASE THIS CAR FOR WHAT YOU BID.... DO NOT BID!! Please do not email asking for a buy it now price. Bid what you would offer for the car and if you are the highest bidder, then the car will be sold to you. SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY! Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. A non-refundable deposit of $1000 is due within 24 hours after the auction is over. The remaining balance is due in full within 10 days after the auction is over. If you can not follow through with this then the transaction will be canceled. Just ask the last high bidder ( gt7783 ). All payments must clear before the vehicle will be released for transport. Please plan ahead before picking up the vehicle. I accept many forms of payment. Paypal will only be accepted for the deposit and will not be accepted for the remaining balance (unless you are willing to pay for the fees). The vehicle will need to be picked up within 2 weeks after the auction is over unless prior arrangements are made. Please remember that this is a no reserve auction and when the auction closes, the highest bidder will be responsible for paying for the vehicle. If you have zero feedback or you are new to ebay, please take a moment and read the ebay rules and understand that this auction is a legal contract. When you bid on the item, you agree to follow through with the purchase if you are the highest bidder. That is why I say "SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY". We don't have time for tire kickers or picture collectors or someone who decides to back out after the auction has closed. We're really easy to work with and I'm very sorry I have to put it this way but we have been stung way too many times in the past. I decided to make this auction run for 10 days to allow everyone time to make arrangements with their funds for the purchase of this vehicle.
