2010 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited, Silver Steel Metallic exterior, charcoal gray leather interior. Just 8,800 one owner miles. EPA 22 mpg city/29 mpg highway, on 87 octane gasoline. This vehicle was purchased new (5/21/2010) at Reliable Subaru in Springfield, MO, owned and driven by retired couple. The majority of the 8,800 miles are highway miles with vehicle easily exceeding EPA 29 mpg estimate. Missouri to Colorado trip average was 33 mpg., and overall driving experience always averages at least 30 mpg. This gasoline economy on a mid-size crossover vehicle with All Wheel Drive is phenomenal and if I had not personally experienced it, I would be skeptical that a vehicle of this size with AWD capability can deliver these results. Prior to purchasing and driving the vehicle I was concerned that the 4 cylinder engine would have enough power to avoid constand downshifts -- these concerns were put to rest with my first trip across (always windy) Kansas and the Colorado mountains. The Outback has plenty of power with the few downshifts performed smoothly by the 6 speed transmission. This is my first Subaru and, in my opinion, the manufacturer has gotten everything right on this vehicle. It has a towing capacity of 2,700 pounds and though I had a trailer hitch installed with the idea of possibly towing my small cargo trailer, the vehicle has NEVER been used to tow anything. It is in flawless showroom condition, no dings, scratches or damage of any kind inside or out. I am selling this much-loved vehicle in order to afford pursuing a long-time desire to become a private pilot--not an inexpensive endeavor! There is no aspect of this vehicle that has disappointed me and my reason for selling is purely financial. Of course I have all manuals and items included at the time of purchase that go with the vehicle.
