Up for auction is a 2dr 1994/5 325i ODB I convertible that was\is a project. Body has a few small dings here and there and a scratch on the hood. The car is basically a good shell waiting for a usable drive-train. Upon selling vehicle I looked for the title and could not find it so I went to DMV and got a new one. You will be able to see that the title is free and clear since the past month and do not have to worry about something funny with it, its easily transferable. This was a Virginia car all its life and there is minimal rust, least what I have found, so, you do not have to worry about it being a NY rust bucket. The engines timing chain rail snapped which made the timing chain skip. This in turn pushed the valves into the pistons. I tore it down and I have the engine in pieces, as I was/am planing to rebuild it. The block is in great shape and I have another "used" set of pistons to put in the block. As said, the head has bent intake valves and I have replacements. Once they are replaced, the engine needs to be put back together with new chain rail guides, bearings, rings and a gasket set. Transmission is also out of the car too. I was told it shifted fine, but no guarantees. The car does not have an exhaust system, cooling system, engine computer and needs a new top (not as good as it looks in the pic, got a little beat up since I have had it.). It is also missing a few nuts and bolts for the engine. I have not tracked down exactly which ones, but they are small ones like throttle body bolts, maybe air cleaner bolts etc. Other than that, the car is for the most part whole. Yes, it is a bit of work and I dont mind doing it, but, I really want a 2 dr coupe. If you want to trade and have something that is not red or green, let me know. If the car goes over $1000, remind me, and I will throw in a complete 92 M50 325 engine too. That engine is also apart, but complete, well, mostly complete, just needs a timing chain set and a few front internal engine pieces, but, head is complete (needs a good cleaning) and block looks good too. Rebuild it with ease and have a $2000 engine ready to go. *Back tire looks funny in pic but car is fine.
