Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a very solid and very restorable 1968 Dodge Charger This is originally a 318 car but does come with a strong running 440 mated to a 727 automatic transmission. Motor and tranny have just over 47,000 miles on them. The charger has had new rear quarter panels put on the drivers and passengers sides and has had the body sprayed in a grey primer. Then trunk floor was replaced by the guywho owned the car before me and he didn't bother to spray the sheet metal after install soit began to surface rust.. This rust is very minor and only on the surface. It could easily be sand-blasted and primed without having to be replaced--you could probably even d/a it off.The floor pans are solid and have had a couple of very small patches on the drivers side front. The interior that come with this car are in pretty good drivers condition all around. The drivers side bucket could use a new cover (see pictures), but the passenger side andthe rear top and bottom are in just about brand new shape.! The dash pad has a couple cracks init and needs replacing. Need new carpet and headliner and you should be able to put the interiorback together and have a pretty nice hot rod..The car comes with no front clip and I do not have one.. It does however come with grillassembly that has many very usable pieces (just about everything except the plastic around the inside of the grill) and the front lower sheet metal piece under the bumper is also included and very usable.Comes with the original gas tank in great shape with no pin holes or severe rust at all.. Very minimal surface rust.. Still usable. This car comes with a clean and clear title that is ready to be transferred into the winning bidders name as soon as it's paid for.Deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of auction end.Any deposit received is assumed non-refundable. Remainder due within seven days or before car is picked up (whichever is first).Car is being sold as is, with all faults, and in saying this I agree that I have describedthe car to the best of my ability. All questions will be accepted and answered in a timely fashion.Good luck and happy bidding!! On Feb-25-11 at 16:29:06 PST, seller added the following information: For anyone "out of town" looking to buy this car and have it shipped, Assuming that you want the 440 and 727, (not sure why you wouldn't), we could go about shipping the motor and transmission a couple of different ways. I could put the pair on a pallet and you may set up shipping for it and I will deliver where needed with in reason. Or you could buy a set of motor and transmission mounts for the car and I could bolt them into the car --- which in my opinion would probably be the best value for the buyer. The shipping is the responsibility of the buyer so I'll let you choose. Good Luck.
