The local Mercedes dealership verified that this car was sold new alongside 1986 models which were the successive body style. All systems on the vehicle are functioning properly. Starts right up immediately on the first crank no matter what the temperature. Engine idle is very smooth and confident. Transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. I looked over the photos and noticed many broken interior pieces and other inconsistencies with the body. The autocheck report for the silver 44k car shows it to be a dealer auction vehicle which was reported to be at multiple auctions all over the country in the last year...On the other hand, my car has always been a privately owned vehicle that was maintained by factory trained Mercedes-Benz technicians.
