Vehicle Detail
Factory built 1969 Cord Warrior 8/10. Styled after the Cord 812 Much as the new Mustang and Camero are styled after earlyer years. GM color is Yellow/Beige This is an all fiberglass body with no cracks. Engine is a 1968 Ford 302 with: Ford SVO Aluminum heads, high lift cam. Edelbrock Aluminum. 4 barrel intake manifold, with carter 650 cfm carbeurator. Ignition is late distributor and MSD High Energy ignition box Has a new triple cross flow radiator. Transmission: Ford C3, Very tight no slippage. Rear end is a Dana 44 with 306 ratio and limited slip. Has power steering, power brakes Has new master cylinder, wheel cylinders and flex brake hoses and rear brake shoes. This is the third generation Cord. The first was the original 1937 810 and 812. The second was the Glenn Prey Corvair powered version with the Goodyear Royalex body. This car sold for over $7000.00 dollars in 1968 when built. The third generation was the 1st Samco Production with trunk lid plus ? The 4th generation they did away with the trunk lid plus who knows what else - to lower the cost of production Also found out from Auburn/Cord webmaster that limited slip was very unusual. This vehicle was sold and registered in California in 1969 as a Cord, not a replica and has always been a California Car. This car drives very well. 0n the freeway at 80 MPH it is rock steady! Just came back from a 120 mile drive on local freeway - I had forgotten how well it drives on the highway It purrs like a kitten -- until you step on it . .. then it becomes a LION!!!!! It will turn on a dime and give 5 cents change. It has 4 corner leaf springs so it rides hard, but doesn't lean on corners. My asking price is $19,700. OBO Car is located in Hemet California southwest of Palm Springs.
