Vehicle Detail

1931 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan I am listing my 1931 Model A Tudor Sedan. This car is fun to drive, but I have other projects that I need to work on so it’s time to let her go. This car is currently registered in California as a 1931 Ford 2D. When I purchased this, it was an old stock car that needed everything. The stock grill was replaced with a reproduction 32 Ford grill. The door hinges were shaved with a hidden hinges kit. The door latches have been replaced with Bearclaw latches. The body is all steel with a four inch chop. Reproduction patch panels were used on both sides of the lower cowl, along the bottom of the rear panel and the lower rear of the driver side panel. It is fairly straight, but will need some more work before it is ready for shiny paint. It is currently painted in black primer. The upper wood was replaced with a kit from Fordwood.com and has been covered with a vinyl top kit from Mikes AFordable. The headlight bar is from Limeworks with stainless steel headlights. The stock glass was replaced with a smoked glass and the fuel fill cap has been relocated below the rear window. The firewall was stock until I recessed it with the tub of a wheelbarrow to make room for the bigger engine. The wheels are powder coated read and have almost new BFG tires. The frame and suspension have been completely reworked. The front suspension consists of a 4” dropped Superbell axle with Posies reversed eye springs and hairpins. The rear of the frame was kicked up and a new rear cross member was built to get the rear of the car down lower. This has an 8” rear end with triangulated 4-link and Pro Comp coilovers. The front brakes are Dodge 11” rotors and GM calipers. I covered them up with 40 Ford backing plates. The rear brakes are drum. They are powered by a dual reservoir master cylinder and 8” booster. A Vega steering box was added for better steering. The engine is a late model 5.0L HO with an AOD transmission. The list of speed parts include a E303 camshaft was added for better performance, an Edelebrock intake with a Holley Avenger series 670cfm carb and shorty headers. The exhaust was done at Magnaflow using 3” mandrel bent stainless tubing. The distributor is an early stock unit with a Pertronix igniter. I replaced the distributor gear so it would not get damaged by the roller cam. I had to replace the stock water pump with a special short unit from Ford Motorsports and March V belt pulleys were added for extra clearance. The interior is fairly basic. I used the stock gas tank as the new dash. The inside of the tank holds the EZ wiring kit, gauges, radio and all other misc items. This has a tilt steering column and a Lokar shifter. The front seat is the rear seat from an Isuzu; it folds down and lifts up for better access to the rear of the vehicle. The rear seat is made from plywood and foam. The fuel tank is located behind the rear seat. The filler neck will need to be modified to a different angle as the fuel will run out during fill up. I am including several light tan leather hides with several yards of matching vinyl if you want to use it to complete the interior. I am also including another set of running boards with new rubber and new stainless trim. A full set new window winders, escussion plates, door release levers, hood sides and several other new/old items to complete the build.
