This one's numbers matching car, and it's rotisseried...collectors take notice! Under the hood is the correct, VIN stamped CS suffix coded 3739653 engine block. The Rochester fuel injection pump and intake are in place, with pump activity controlled by the proper dual drive distributor. Original chrome ignition shrouds (off to show detail for the pictures) hide correct ignition wires. New hoses, Wittek clamps and finishes are where they need to be. We've got a new fresh air hose here, too--detail guys can rest easy. Tthe firewall is complete with the restored wiper motor and reproduction ballast resistor and the radiator up front is the original. Power flows back through a new clutch in the original bellhousing, through a T10 transmission, down the original reconditioned driveshaft and on to the original axle. There's little to argue with the cool finned aluminum rocker covers, and the orange paint on the engine is clean and new.The motor fires right up and sounds awesome with the solid lifter cacophony. Aside from the engine, here's the list of options as they are on the car: -four speed manual transmission -whitewall tires -Wonderbar radio -heater (it was optional and cost $102!) -two-tone paint combination -auxiliary hardtop We don't have the window sticker or original dealer paperwork for the car, so we can't confirm the correctness of the options, but extremely few 1960 Corvettes can. Documentation is seen as a huge plus rather than a distraction if it's missing. There's a lot of detailing underneath. The floor pans were cleaned back to their original raw appearance before being sealed to preserve them. Frame and suspension pieces are a high quality chassis black with correct paint daubs in the appropriate places. A new reproduction exhaust system with resonators is in place and sounds great. The brakes are all rebuilt with new wheel cylinders, shoes, hardware kits, lines and hoses. New Billstein shocks are at all four corners with new coil springs up front and rebuilt leaf springs out back. Open the trunk for more: There's a new mat, new cardboard beauty covers, and fresh paint and new striker hardware on the decklid. Pack your show supplies carefully and head out for a cruise! Roman Red might just be the official color of the Corvette. It looks great, especially with the Ermine White coves on the sides. Excellently restored original and new stainless trim run the tops of the fenders, around the classic side coves and around the windows. Beautiful new chrome starts at the front grille, flows past the headlight trim, across the door handles, the fuel cap and the taillights down to the rear bumpers.
