I have a 1961 Ford Econoline van i have been working on for over a year now. The body is now about 90% in my opinion, there are only a few details left to be sorted out before paint. the back doors have been welded shut and completely smoothed in, bumpers removed and smoothed, drivers side lower edge has been replaced and i decided to roll it in smooth to flow with the theme rather than the original flanged edge, and all body seams have been filled in using All Metal(metal body filler). She runs great, modded with a bigger head by the previous owner and hasn't leaked a drop of oil or water in the time i've had it and she's been started and warmed up if not driven at least a couple times a month. The Bad; there are currently no seats, and although i have the original gas tank, it has been running from a plastic can sitting next to the engine hump. It also needs a throwout bearing, and i would suggest a new clutch while the tranny is out. So, the throwout bearing sings loudly and creates an echo chamber behind you in the all metal welded in box and i have not been able to diagnose the condition of the rear differential yet, but i suspect it needs to be freshened up as well. For these reasons i do not consider it road worthy and would not suggest you plan on driving it home. Terms; I'm not an experienced ebay seller, i request your patience and i'll extend the same. Happy bidding!On Feb-19-11 at 10:58:12 PST, seller added the following information: Update: added some more pics, the red panel on the passenger side is the last one i have to finish, i was waiting on a new door before i bothered. on the underside pics one is of the back, where the gas tank is supposed to be, the odd looking piece of metal is the original weight Ford installed to compensate for the light rear end on these vans. i have the original gas tank, it's pretty banged up and full of rust/dust. also have 3 more eyebrow chrome pieces. this was the first time i've driven it in about six months and while it purred like a kitten it was showing it's age trying to shift, really needs the old 3 speed freshened up or replaced with something better.
