This auction is for my lightly used 2000 Triumph Tiger 855. I am only the second owner of this bike with 6500 original miles! I purchased this when I retired in 2009 with only 2000 miles on it and in the last 18 months have only added about 4000 miles! Test rides are welcome with proper license/insurance, contact me through Ebay. Why am I selling??? I just got a great deal on a Harley and can’t ride ‘em both enough to be worthwhile! Bike is in excellent mechanical condition; original owner had it serviced before I picked it up and I brought it in last year to the Triumph dealer for the “off road exhaust” fuel remap (most folks do this to fix the somewhat “lean” factory settings). They gave it a good look over and only noted that I may want to either tighten the intake and/or replace gasket to cure an occasional pop/backfire. My complex frowns on parking lot mechanics, so I never bothered but I have the gasket for new owner. Cosmetically very nice with a couple scratches on the tank and trunk, I installed the taller touring windscreen which is nice on long, highway rides. New tires installed last year/about 2000 miles ago. I also added a Corbin seat which is much more comfortable than stock! If you’re looking for an “Adventure Touring Bike” and don’t want to spend a lot more on a BMW RGS series, this is for you! The more recent Tigers have been kind of “tamed” as the company realized many folks were going for the “look” but not the capabilities of earlier Tigers. This 2000 is new enough to have fuel injection but old enough to still have enough ground clearance and suspension travel. Also, parts/accessories are easy to find on Ebay! Take a look at other Tigers from the late ‘90’s to about 2005 and see how many miles most of them have (often 30-40K!), well that’s what you can add to this one! If you want more tech info, opinions, etc, Google “RAT Forums” and read away. I have all maintenance records; owner’s manual and will throw in the Haynes manual as well. Extra’s; you get the quick release trunk w/key (will fit 2 x full helmets!), 2 x ignition keys, a center stand that I haven’t gotten around to installing, new oil filter, dust cover, and I even have the original patch/pin that they gave the 1st owner! Also I have the solid metal fuel tank to fuel line quick disconnects, if you know/read anything about this model the factory ones are plastic and have been known to crack (never had the problem so the metal ones are still in the bag). Currently registered and being ridden, I have clear FL title in hand (not salvage, rebuild, etc!). I live close to Ft Lauderdale Intl Airport and can pick you up if necessary. Prefer pickup but would be available to the shipper of your choice after payment clears if arranged ahead of time. Payment must be either cash or certified funds, if not drawn on a bank with a local FL branch, I will hold until bank verifies. PayPal is a possibility but buyer will pay several percent surcharges to cover their fees and this MUST be approved by me before you bid!
