Up for Sale is My '95 Jetta GLX. A friend of mind purchased this car NEW for his mom . In 2001 he bought her a New Passat and it was at that time he gave this car to his niece who needed car. In November 2007 the niece purchased a new car, and my friend asked me if I wanted the car. At that time I had 3 VW's and my friend knew I took care of them myself. We put roughly 50k on her over 3.5 years . The family used this car as an extra run around car . The mileage is actual. The car has never been in an accident .The rear impact that shows as a accident, was my son backing out of a driveway and another car backing out of another driveway, just a slight hit. If you look at the rear bumper, you will see the white paint chipped away from the black underneath, that was the extent of the accident. I performed a complete Trans service on her back in '08, VW filter and VW Synthetic fluid, the trans shifts great. The Car DOES NOT RUN. The drivers door panel got loose recently and my son taped it up temporary . It seems he might have crimped some wires, and it shorted out and smoked. I traced the issue to a shorted out drivers door wiring harness that did smoke when it shorted out. This is not a difficult job to do. I actually bought a harness on ebay and removed the old one and started to install the new one, only to find out it the replacement harness had be repaired and had a bad wire at the connector end. So the ebayer refunded me. At this time I do not have the time to work on the car . Again the car DOES NOT want to start now since this happened. I'm thinking it's probably because the wiring harness has to be installed?, or maybe a fuse needs to be replaced down the line , or possibly there could be some more electrical damage?. I'm just being honest. Now, I put a new muffler on the car only 2 months ago. The mid muffler did has a slight leak . You do need a muffler hanger for the new rear muffler, I used wire to hold it up for now . The interior is really nice. The 95 has a very plush interior, I had a '98 now and I also owned a '96 and the interiors in both of them are not as plush as in this one . The radio is stuck in Safe Mode. All the windows work, I have replaced the regulators and motors . The tires do not need to be replaced. The brakes are fine as well, and the rotors have been replaced all around . The car passed inspection last year and is still current. The body is real clean and real nice.The motor ran good, with the ocassional 2.0 ABA stumble and hycup once in a awhile . Does not burn oil, the mileage is definitely original, and I can show you the old change records that I did myself. It would be great car to fix or a great donor car.
