1953 Chevrolet Suburban Carryall - Parts or RestoreOn Feb-15-11 at 08:30:00 PST, seller added the following information: Up for auction is a 1953 Chevrolet Suburban Carryall - good for parts or possible restoration project. We do not have a title - sells with Bill of Sale. As can be seen in photos, most of the glass is broken. The driver's door has the most damage with a "spear" hole with a dent in it. It does not latch shut because of this. The passenger door shuts good as do the rear barn doors. This Carryall features a rear heater in the cargo area. The seats are in good condition with no rips. The front drivers' floor pan has a rust hole under the clutch pedal (if you look hard you can see it in photos). The passenger side floor pan is in better shape but does have a couple of small rust holes. The wooden rear cargo floor looks to be in good condition. The top layer of wood is flaking off in places. Looks really good from underneath. The frame is in very good condition with only surface rust. The exterior has some dents as can be seen in photos but sheet metal is pretty solid. The front bumper is bent on the passenger side. Also passenger side front fender pushed in at same spot as bumper. We replaced 3 of the rims/tires to be able to roll it around. The engine is correct casting number for the year of the vehicle. The valve cover is off, there is no head. We do have the valve cover, some rocker arms and what looks to be the original air cleaner with the carb attached to it. Take a look at this 1953 Chevrolet Suburban Carryall - parts or project car!
