1984 vw westfalia 190,xxx miles. Needs a bit of work. This is the first year vw put a water-cooled motor in the van’s. This van has an automatic transmission and factory ac in the dash and the rear area. This is also the first year the vans had independent front suspension. This thing is super cool! I’d keep it but I have too many other projects at this time. The good: 99% rust free, motor starts, factory AC (WORKS) The bad: It’s missing the two front seats, canvas, and carpet. There is a short in the electrical. Motor turns over slow with a new battery. Has a new starter. Motor starts with starting fluid but its not getting any gas. Needs a brake job. Could also use a paint job.
