Vehicle Detail

Hi everyone, Up for auction is #18 of a collector series Jamboree edition 1982 CJ7. It is being relisted due to the previous buyer not really wanting it. He never saw the Jeep to see something he didn't like etc. This Jeep is in Unrestored, Original Paint, Original Decal, completely ROT free condition as the Jeep came from and was sold in Tucson Arizona new and then 29 years later. There is a tremendous amount of information collected about these rare Jeeps available on my website and a complimentary website referenced within my site @ www.rudys-cjs.com Beyond the fact it is an uber rare Jeep, it is simply a solid rust free CJ in very rare condition with a brand new soft top and doors, new seats, nearly new tires, a dealer installed winch, light bar and an automatic so every one in the family one in the family can enjoy! This Jeep is an investment, not an expenidture as long as you take care of it. I also have 139 photos listed there with some descriptions added. Please do take a look and remember to bookmark us. One of the most rare characteristics of this Jeep in paticular is the Automatic transmission that must have been specially ordered as the T5 Manual was the listed transmission for the Jamboree package. The VIN for my Jeep decodes as an automatic and it is original and correct. Here are a few details about this Jeep: Tilt column Power Brakes Just installed brand new Bestop Soft top with premium tinted zip out windows Just installed 2 piece Bestop locking soft doors OEM locking center Console with original key Brand new just installed front and rear fold and tumble seats (original seats are long gone) Uncracked dash pad Working OEM (not a replacement) clock Working OEM (not a replacement) tachometer Original 20 Gallon option fuel tank Original Dealer installed light bar with 2 Dick Cepek Lights Wired through original illuminating dash swittch Original 8000 Pound Dealer Installed Warn winch with remote HD Tube bumpers (rear has reese style hitch) 3000 miles on new tires and polished aluminum wheels. Spare wheel is new. spare tire is correct size but used Upgraded HD Valve Cover Upgraded Weber Carb New Heater Cable Pulls New Dash Lights Original unmodified suspension All gauges work. Radio works but is not wired as I would reccomend a more modern choice but the dash is UNCUT and original This is a fine old dry climate completely un-rotted desert Jeep and may be a one of kind because of the automatic transmission. It was being used as a daily driver by the previous owner and the brakes, steering engine and transmission are in driving used, unrestored condition. I have spent a lot of time with this Jeep in my shop and it's flaws are as follows: The center ridge of the hood was painted black and marginal job was done. It is tolerable to look at but masking it off and going back to original Topaz Gold would be a good idea. The paint is 29 years old and the Jeep has just over 150k miles on it. The Jeep truly pops as you look at it but it has numerous paint imperfections including scratches and some fading of the decals as shown. This Jeep starts easily and the engine has no knocks and carries good oil pressure. I know it needs driven as it was being driven by an older gentleman and I simply will not drive it on the salty roads of Ohio. The only other thing to mention is that ALL of these Jamboree Jeeps were soft top only Jeeps and ALL factory CJ soft tops had drilled snaps in the body sides. This Jeep had a second top added at another time and additional snaps drilled as shown. I have filled most of these holes with premium stainless steel fasteners and finishing washers and it looks good. The Jeep is VERY straight with almost zero dents and no signs of any accidents. This Jeep is a piece of AMC history that I am proud to have owned. Delivery MAY be available by me at a rate of $1.25 per loaded mile from Zip Code 45817 (diesel is $3.50 a gallon). Please call me to discuss this option as it is not available to all buyers or locations for common sense reasons. I request a refundable $500 deposit to be paid via PayPal within 24 hours of the auction ending. The deposit is refundable if the vehicle is not in as-advertised condition. Please have your finances in order before you bid. The balance is due in Cash, Wire Transfer, or Verifiable funds to be secured by Chase Manhattan before the vehicle is released. PLEASE feel free to call me if you have questions! 614-203-1947 and Please Remember Our Troops! Rudy On Feb-11-11 at 05:25:12 PST, seller added the following information: There has been concern over the free generic Car-Fax report offered by E-Bay and the low score my Jeep has been given. I sware on a stack of bibles I don't think much of these reports unless the vehicle has title issues such as floods or salvage title or VIN # issues. A comment was made about the score of my Jeep being low by some unknown formula. Don't take my word for it, please take a look at this other Jamboree for sale at a lesser cost with a nearly triple higher score rating and let your eyes and gut make the decision for you as to what is important in purchasing a 30 year old Jeep. Search for E-Bay item # 170599290670 and always feel free to call me. It is simply the difference between a Jeep from a dry climate and one from a salty winter climate and I assure you the score doesn't have anything to do with this very important factor. To be clear, I am not knocking their Jeep as they are different but similar animals. I wouldn't do that. I am simply asking common sense to prevail as you consider purchasing a solid Jeep to enjoy. If you saw my Jeep in person, you would love it which is why I have offered you so many photos to do my best to take place of the transit to look at it. Thank you! Rudy 614-203-1947
