What you are looking at is a single family owned 1990 Volkswagen Westfalia full camper van that has approximately 104,726 original miles. This van was originally purchased in Canada but it was picked up in Germany and used to travel Europe before going to Canade where it spent several years before entering the states in 2000. I have a copy of the original European Delivery Vehicle Order form that shows the van was purchased on 4/18/1990. I also have the documentation for when it was taken into Canada. Now it is currently titled in California and passed smog on 12/06/2010 and is currently registered until 4/8/2011. The van originally came with an odometer that used kilometers instead of miles so when it was brought into the states it was required to put an odometer that used miles. I have the original odometer that shows 117,234 kilometers that converts to 72,845.83 miles and the odometer thats in the van now shows 31,881 miles so that makes it approximately 104,726 miles. In my opinion the van is in about as excellent condition as I think you can find for a vehicle of this age and mileage. The van is in original condition except for one spot on the rear door by the window that was bumped when it was 3 weeks old by backing into a dumpster. I have included a picture of the spot where you can see it was repaired because the repair was done over 20 years ago. The only spot on the van with any rust is the same spot where the repair was done and as you can see in the picture it is very minor. There is also a small ding on the back door that I have also included a picture of and some scratches here and there, but overall it is a great looking van in great condition. The plastic vent on the roof is double layered and as you can see in the pictures the inside layer is cracked but the outside layer is fine so it doesn't let any water in at all. The van runs and drives great and everything is in excellent working condition. The only reason the van is being sold is the family has out grown it and the money from the van needs to be used for other things then just sitting in the driveway and only being used as a spare car anymore. Its time to be passed on to a new family that will use and enjoy the van the way it should be used!
