I love this car and really do not want to sell her, but I found out I was moving to Alaska and I believe this would not make a good car there (too low and I hear it Jetta's lose in battles with moose). Brand new timing belt, head, water pump, etc - a ton of other stuff. I got this work completed at the dub dealer here in town - Panama City VW - all told - $6500 (see picture of bill). They completely went over the car and there is nothing wrong with the car. There is a 12000 mile or 12 month warrantee from VW on all the motor work. Outside of this work, no warrantee is offered or implied. The only down side / blemishes are the drivers side door panel fabric is pulling away a bit, the metal strip on the passanger rear window has some exposed metal (about 2 inches where the rubberized coating flaked), and there are some typical rock chips in the front of the car (see pics). I have wanted a GLI for soooo long and this is in unbelievably great condition, but the move to Alaska makes me sell. I have the original grill with VW logo and an extra set of new headlamps to install if you would like. I bought this VW from the VW/Porsche dealer in Tampa about 2 years ago and have put on about 15000 miles. Garaged since I have owned it. BBS rims are in great shape. Interior is near mint. Aftermarket stereo with direct iPod/iPhone connection. Car also has a cold air intake (made for this model car), turbo timer, air-fuel mixture gauge, and a boost gauge in column (brand new hose connection too). The turbo and exhaust sound great. Gas milage is around 25 MPG. The pictures speak for themselves. Cannot promise anything, but I also believe this GLI has magical powers - the power to ward of gnomes and gremlins (you will notice that you do not see any in the pictures and I have yet to see one anywhere near her). I know I am going to take a huge loss on this car with the money I just put into it, but such is life - honestly all I hope is that someone will buy her and take good care of her. I am being as honest and as upfront as possible, and hope this will go to someone who enjoys dubs - this is my 9th and will also be selling my 1965 Type I due to move - so stayed tuned....
