For sale is a one owner 1983 Volvo 240 with 110,625 original miles. Runs and drives Excellent. Great example of this model. This was bought by a close friend of mine about 2 years ago, he never did anything with it, so I bought it from him and went through it from stem to stern, adding some tasteful period correct accessories while performing all necessary maintenance along the way. ENGINE The engine is the original 2.3 liter straight 4 cylinder that it came with. The engine runs excellent. The timing best just replaced last week along with the water pump, front seals, all drive belts, engine and trans mounts. The full tune up, plugs, wires, air and fuel filters, dist cap and rotor,and New Chrome valve cover and gasket were just replaced last week. Along with cleaning and setting the throttle body and timing. The valve cover was a gift to a friend of mine from a Volvo Executive and was never previously installed on another car. TRANSMISSION It has the original 4spd manual transmission with electronic overdrive. It goes into all the gears with no grinding or slipping issues. It has the electronic overdrive button that works correctly. And the clutch feels great. INTERIOR It has a great brown cloth interior with no cuts or tears in the seats or carpet. The headliner is perfect. The dash has a few common cracks but looks awesome with a matching velour cover. The lumbar support in the drivers seat was just replaced, and it has perfect door pockets, and all weather OEM Volvo floor mats in perfect shape. I have a new ashtray coming this week as the original was cracked. PAINT AND BODY The body is in exceptional shape with the Yellow paint in very good shape with some minor pings here or there that are unnoticeable. No dents or or scratches on the body. It does have some painted areas of the body that were professionally done to the highest standard .Rare hard to find coupe chrome window visors for side windows. There is no rust on the body and the floors are in amazing shape which is very rare for an east coast car, but it was well maintained and garaged by the original owner. The original DL badge, was coming lose and I have it, I just have not had a chance to reattach it, I will at some point within the week. WHEELS AND TIRES It has the original factory 14" wheels with recent TOYO Tires with less then 8k on them, and they are in perfect shape. It also has all original trim rings and center caps in great shape. ELECTRICAL AND ACCESSORIES It has a no A/C system from the factory, which I find kind of rare and neat . All the windows and mirrors function correctly.. It has a super rare Volvo Microprocessor digital stereo that functions perfectly . The radio tuner on the stereo works properly . The speakers are the factory speakers and sound good. The antenna is working correctly and is retractable. EXHAUST It has an OEM exhaust that was recently replaced and is in perfect shape. SUSPENSION AND BRAKES It has great brakes front and rear . The front struts, rear HD springs, front control arm bushings, and alignment were all done within the last month.
