Being Relisted due to a Non Paying Bidder. Please don't bid, unless you are planning on owning this classic! 1980 Volkswagen Vanagon, with 91K Miles. A True 1st year Air Cooled, Vanagon Survivor! This van is a bit of a project, to make perfect, and is priced accordingly. It came factory equipped, without the propane setup, and has just the sink and icebox. I believe the motor to be original, and was told that it was rebuilt at some point. The motor runs strong, and the van runs, and drives great! Brakes and Clutch are in good order. It needs a little body work, but nothing major. The good news is that the body is 99% rust free, with just some minor surface rust here and there. The interior shows some wear and tear, as well as the Pop Top Canvas. The top has some tears in the canvas, and should eventually be replaced, if you are planning to restore. Could be taped up and made to work if desired. Tires are not so good, but hold air, and do the job. All the lights work, except the blinkers. Some minor wiring is needed to get the windshield wipers and heater working. The previous owner said he lost the key to the ignition, and currently the van starts by hot wiring it. I do have a new lock cylinder, with keys, that will be included in the auction. All the lights work, but the blinkers do not. This is the perfect Westy for someone looking to drive it, as they restore it. I bought this with intentions of restoring, but no longer have the time or money, to do it right.
