Vehicle Detail
1970 Pontiac GTO "The Judge" (REAL). With PHS documentation. Factory Polar White with Dark Blue interior. Ram-Air III, 4 speed. This car is incredibly solid, and retains its original floors, quarter panels, and even trunk floor. Options include: The Judge 4 speed transmission Power steering Power disc brakes Hood tach Rally gauges Tinted glass Bucket seats Console Push button radio with front and rear speakers Positraction Remote mirror Deluxe wheel As you can see from the pictures, this car is obviously over-restored. The body was media blasted to bare steel, as was the frame. The paint is done in acrylic urethane base-clear. The frame and suspension were clear-coated after assembly, to prevent deterioration. The motor was completely rebuilt, and includes .030 over TRW pistons. The rotating assembly was balanced. The heads have stainless steel valves and hardened seats. A slightly hotter cam was also installed. The block is non numbers match, but is a correct casting # and correctly dated WS block. The heads and intake appear to be original to the car. The transmission is a rebuilt Canadian Muncie 4 speed with correct vin #. The rearend is also correct, XH 355 posi. This is one of 288 Canadian Judges built in 1970. One nice thing about a Canadian car, is that the Judge option code WT1 is stamped on the cowl tag, and is another way to verify authenticity. I've been restoring GM A-bodies for years, and I've done well over 20 Judges. The car has just under 100 miles since completion in January of 2011. It drives great, and runs strong.
