Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 About four years ago, I left Florida to work in Michigan, and I left my Rolls parked in my Aventura, Florida condominium. I did not drain the fuel before I parked it. A Florida mechanic gave me a price of $1200 to change the fuel lines and start the car. I am retired now, and my budget is limited. My loss can be your gain. If you are a private person, whatever you spend on the Rolls will be returned to you with a large profit when you sell the restored vehicle. Following is an description of the items that have to be restored, refinished, or replaced. The pictures actually tell the story, and there are pictures of almost everything. Request a picture of anything you want to see by emailing me at : hhhhzzzz@aol.com Starting with: Paint: the car is two-tone, dark blue and light blue. There is bubbling of the paint and each of the four windows. There are several other paint blemishes that I have photographed, and the question of whether the car should be completely repainted, is a matter for you to decide. Chrome: the chrome (except for the distinctive Rolls-Royce grill) will require re-chroming) to restore. This includes the bumpers. The Rolls grill and Winged Victory are virtually perfect. Inside: the inside of the car is in good to excellent shape. Headliner: the headliner is excellent, a photo shows it Wood: all the wood is an excellent shape except for the passenger side piece which has a bubble. The dashboard wood is excellent Seats: the rear seat is in excellent condition and looks almost new ( except covered with dust.. The front seats have custom blue lambswool covers on both, and I believe that the leather is worn on both, because I do not think I would have covered them in the lambswool otherwise. Gauges: the gauges worked perfectly before I parked it. Radio: the radio worked perfectly before I parked Electric door locks: the right rear passenger seat window door lock does not work Nardi steering wheel: this also requires re-chroming or refinishing Air-Conditioning: air conditioning worked fine before I parked it. Rugs: are worn in the front seats and the trunk, and they need replacement Engine: the engine ran well before I parked it. It burned a quart of oil at oil change -- every 3000 miles. For everything else, see the photographs. I CAN SEND YOU A COMPLETE SET OF PICTURES, Send me email requesting additional photographs.hhhhzzzz@aol.com Restoration: if you were to restore the car, it will cost you about $10,000 depending on your desired level of perfection. You are starting with a good car that was well-maintained, and you will have a beauty when you are finished. Use for parts: if you are going to use the car to sell off the parts, you can make a small fortune.
