Vehicle Detail

I will start by stating that I own this car the Texas title is in my name and it is currently registered. Is is NOT inspected and will need that to be driven in Texas. Now on to the heart of the matter. For sale is a 1966 V-8 Mustang coupe, not a fastback, not a convertible. This car has been in storage since 1987 (24 years) I bought it from there. It was born with a 289 4-V,4 speed manual transmission ,powersteering and power DRUM brakes and was Wimbeldon White in color. This is verified by the remaining original door tag. It retains all original vin markings that match this original door tag. THE CAR IS NO LONGER EQUIPED LIKE THIS. The car currently has a remanufactured 1971 302 2-V with C-4 automatic transmission and power drum brakes.Thats IT. NO POWER STEERING,NO "A" CODE 289,NO 4 SPEED,NO A/C. It does still retain all of the mechanics for the clutch set up We have gone through the brakes, installed and new fuel tank and sender, new fuel pump, new water pump and complete tune and fluid change this engine runs very well. The transmission apears to have been rebuilt at some time and also works well. It will need a new power brake booster . The front end is driveable and the rear end seems just fine too. This car has rust issues that will need to be addressed. HOWEVER the frame rails are in good condition with 1 small spot on the right rear. 1 of the rear shock mounts has been torn out and it too will need replacing. THIS IS HOW YOU ARE BIDDING THIS CAR. IN AS-IS CONDITION.What you see is what you get. NOW, I also own a small restoration shop ( since 1978 ) and this is why I purchased this car. My intention is to do a restore on this car ,here in my shop. I will soda blast entire vehicle, inside and out, replace/repair all of the rusted panels,as needed and put in HIGH QUALITY primer for $3500.00 additional dollars. I will finish the paint or the interior or change it back to a 4 or 5 speed OR what ever you would like for me to do at a pre-aggreed price.SO if you would like for me to custom build this car for you OR repair to some extent OR purchase AS-IS then call and we can do something.ONCE AGAIN,YOU ARE BIDDING IN AS-IS CONDITION as a project car. The photos tell the story. It looks AWFUL,but can be a very nice car and NOT be over the total value of the car when finished. Nobody wants 30K in a 10K car.Thats not what is here. I can assist with shipping ,world wide.I do not take cashiers checks or money orders.Personal check, wire transfer or cash only. This car has a very low reserve. Please do not ask how much or how much to end the auction. I will let it run and sell to the highest bidder. Please feel free to call Marvin at 361-331-3322 8A.M.-7 P.M central timeOn Feb-01-11 at 07:17:18 PST, seller added the following information: I can supply NEW QUALITY sheetmetal ( hood, both front fenders, rear quarter patches and front and rear velance ) for $825.00 additional and will install, primed, for and additional $250.00 for a total of $1075.00.
