You ever start a project and set a spending limit? I did, and crossed that line last year. car still not done. anyway. I have a mustang project i have been working on for about a year, in my spare time which there is never enough. the car was stripped down to a shell all rust cut out and new metal installed, including full floor pan, both quarters, complete trunk, firewall, inner front right fender, rear frame rails. al work done in a body shop as I am not a welder. all metal work is finished and car is in primer and ready for paint. also completedis brakes all new including shoes, wheel cylinders, lines, master cylinder, and drums. still needs lines bled. new shocks all the way around. all steering linkage has been replaced, will need front end allignment when car is finished. new gas tank and fuel line installed, all wiring is new from headlight to tail light including dash and in steering column.Tires are brand new with no miles on them, wheels are decent but do have some pitting around spokes. most of interior is new, dash pad, gauge bezel, ignition, carpet and underlayment, head liner, ( which I installed as my first one, not proud of it has some wrinkles in back) all weatherstripping is new, whats not installed is included. The engine is out of a 66 galaxie. it was running great and has 56,000 actuall miles on it. I did compression check on it before pulling and all cylinders were with 10 lbs of each other 120-130, before putting engine in car I installed new oil pump, new double timming chain & gears, water pump, starter, oil & temp sensors, chrome alt. chrome headers, plugs... wires, belt, hoses, all etc. included. I have the seats front & back already reupholsted ready for installation also included... also included, new most of which are still in boxes are the following.. both bumpers with all bolts and brackets, radiator, complete dual exhaust system including clamps and hangers., complete headlight assemblys for both sides, door panels, in & out door handles, windowcranks, door & trunk lock, arm rest and pads, also have grill and trim and misc. used parts, I no I am probably forgetting something, but for the most I would say at least 90% of everything needed to complete is here I am not a proffesional restorer, I just started a week end project that has taken longer than expected, I was building a wekend cruiser for me. so wasnt worried about numbers matchig restoration, as numbers on tag show car was oqiginally green and a 3 speed , now has an automatic in it. all door jambs, trunk, and inner fenders are painted black as I was planning on painting car black. I will answer any questions I can. NOW for the important stuff , I have a lot invested in this car and will not give it away. if it sells fine. if it dosent it wont be relisted, I will continue to work on it this spring. I am setting a resreve well below what I have in it already. I know every one will ask what it is so I am posting it here, 4200.00 if you think its to much dont bid. also i am not a dealer nor do I run a car lot, I understand everyone wants a deal (including me) but if you win auction and show up to get car and are a nickle short you will leave here with nothing. I have had people show up before and want to negoiate the price. also I have car for sale locally and reserve the right to cancle auction anytime. I have had a lot of questions on this. there is a hood that goes with the car. also I have a new steering wheel and mounting hardware that is also included. I also installed new trim retaining clips around windsheild and back glass before they were installed. I live about 25 miles north of Indianapolis we are getting ready to go through a 48 hour witer storm. they are predicting a lot of ice and snow and warning people that power lines may go down.
