You are bidding on a 2 owner, completely original, non-sunroof 1988 Carrera. I am the second owner and up until 2 years ago it was originally purchased, owned and meticulously maintained by a fellow PCA member. There have never been any modifications or changes made to this car, it is completely factory original right down to the near perfect factory guards red paint. All tools, jack, spare, compressor manuals and a huge pile of records go with the car. I have also run a carfax and every thing is clean, no accidents or mishaps. This is a Canadian car and is in kilometres,114300 km (71000 miles). Purchased new by a Westjet pilot the car spent most of it's time in Vancouver before coming to Calgary. Always stored inside and never driven if harsh conditions. BODY & PAINT Exceptional original guards red 9 out of 10, all panels fit perfect, all stickers and labels are intact. Rubber parts are soft and clean with no cracks, shrinkage or deterioration. No fading, very minor chips on mirrors and rocker panels. All glass is factory new condition. ENGINE & MECHANICAL The car was fully maintained and serviced by Redmond European, engine was removed only once in it's life for a complete reseal at 94000 kilometres. The owner being extremely fussy had it rebuilt at a cost of $12000, all records verify this (25 pages of them). This is one of the reasons I purchased the car, the consistent maintenance and the quality of the car that was kept original. INTERIOR Power leather seats are flawless as are all the interior panels, dash and carpets. Everything is as it came from the factory, only the stereo has been upgraded but I have the original radio as well. No extra speakers have been cut in. The dash shows no wear, cracks or curls, a result of indoor storage. All electrical components work fine. SAFETY New tires on perfect rims, no curb rash or scrapes, rotors and brake pads have been replaced as well. Suspension is very tight and responsive, no rattles or noises. My insurance inspection has just been completed and is available for viewing. The option sticker is still on the trunk lid as well as all other door and engine stickers still original and intact indicating no panel damage or replacement. This is a a preservation Porsche as it is so original and not messed with. The only 2 items not factory are the radio and shift knob, every thing else is factory Porsche. As you can see in the photos the car is exceptional, all undercoating is intact and clean showing that the car was never driven in poor conditions. This is a fair weather garage kept car. Shipping is the buyers responsibility but I will do what is needed at this end to ensure the car is shipped in a timely and safe manner. I have been a PCA member for 20 years and have owned and enjoyed several high quality older Porsches. I have a collection of 9 cars from pre A to a 993.
