1980 Mercedes 300sd, 5 cylinder turbo diesel, automatic trans, W116 body style. The car runs good, drives good shifts good and averages 30 mpg on the highway.The odometer shows 136,000 but I would not think it is correct as the odometer and the tach work intermittently. The steering wheel has been changed to a custom wheel and also comes with original one. Four wheel disc brakes all 75%.Tires 75%, body in great shape only two small spots where paint has bubbled. Paint is faded on some of the body panels as shown in pictures also some of the clearcoat pealing.Some chips and dings along with a light dent in the pass rear door. Has new alternator and recent battery. This would be an easy car to restore or just drive for its great mpg. Also could be a good car for veggie conversion. Known issues: small oil leak from oil cooler (just a drip) interior rear seat has lost all its cusion on the inside. Cover looks fine but needs to bee re-stuffed. Drivers seat has some wear windows do not work and need to be looked at. I know drivers window needs regulator air conditioning works with a recharge but compressor is noisey and only lasts a couple of months The climate control valve has been bypassed and a manual valve has been installed Please contact me if you would like to view car before bidding.
