Vehicle Detail
This time machine chopper is up for a no reserve auction. This is a running motorcycle, and a show winner. They just don't put stuff like this together anymore.I challenge you to find a cooler Triumph chopper, please email photograph submissions to parts@bigdcycle.com Although this is a running motorcycle, I don't dare ride it. this should be considered as a fixer upper. I highly doubt this bike did 6407 miles in its current form. I assume the majority of the miles were put on the bike in its stock form. We do not have the stock frame or any stock parts to go with this. This bike was built long ago, and not by our shop. We rebuilt the carburetors, wired in a new ignition switch, cleaned the points, and drained and replaced the motor oil. As you can see in the video, it starts and runs pretty good. There is no battery in the electrical system, it has a mitymax type battery eliminator. The inside of the gas tank needs cleaning, and possibly a liner. We decided not to clean it out, because we're not gonna ride it. You will have to put some work in to make this bike a rider. We suspect the chain will eat the guard and oil tank up if it was ridden anywhere, since there is virtually no clearance between the three. With a little know how, love, and money you can make this winning show bike into a rider. Both brakes need lubrication and adjustment, that should be the winning bidders first priority. We don't build choppers, and we don't work on them; we don't even like them. This motorcycle should be considered armed and dangerous. Sold as is, with no warranty or guarantee of any kind. the winning bidder should keep the quirks and maintenance needs of a 40 year old British motorcycle in mind. We will sell this bike worldwide. International motorcycle shipments are expensive and require crates made of certified wood. Please look into transport costs before placing an overseas bid. We will assist the buyer in packing and shipping, but all costs are the responsibility of the buyer. The front end will have to be removed to fit into a reasonable sized crate to be shipped internationally. there will be a handling fee for removing the front end. If this bike sells inside the USA, we will strap it to a pallet and ship it with the cheapest route we find on freightquote dot com. It should not be more than $650 to ship this bike anywhere in the continental United States. International bidders, please estimate your own shipping costs. $500 deposit is required within two days from auction end; full payment must be made within two weeks.
