up for sale today is my 67 grand prix convertible. this car came from the estate of an elderly gentleman and I bought it with intentions of fully restoring it and adding it to my collection. pontiac only made convertibles in a limited low production number in 1967 for 1 year only making this a true collector classic. these were considered the big daddy of GTOs because they came with higher Horse power engines and had the same styling. this car has the original drivetrain being a 400 cubic inch 4 barrel 350 horse power engine, and a turbo 400 transmission. this car is mostly in original complete condition with the exception of an older repaint from red to white on the exterior, the wood steering wheel, and ralley wheels,center caps,trim rings and redline tires. although this is being sold as a project car. it is complete and runs and drives. it was last registered in North Carolina in 2005 according to the state inspection sticker on the windshield. I have installed a brand new power top pump, new lines, and a brand new battery, also did a complete tune up. the top is nice with no rips or serious staining and the back window is clear. the tires all appear good and are not old and dryrotted. I have the complete retractable headlight system, a completely restored carburator,seat belts, and a new set of valve covers and gaskets that will come with the car. I also have the black top boot to cover the top when its down. it is in great shape. It appealed to me greatly because from all I can see about it that it hasnt been messed up and modified over the years of it life. the repaint appears to have been done years ago as well as a not so great bondo job on the lower rear quarters and wheel well areas. of course it needs some restoration but you can drive while you restore. in my opinion it needs a new trunk floor which rusted out due to a bad trunk seal. if a trunk floor is too much for you I will be glad to replace it for you for an addittional $1200.00 complete. because the car hasnt been driven regularly for 5 years I do not recommend trying to drive it home. It is not in my way so pick up time is negotiable. I could even trailer it to you for a fee. It also can be shipped through any transport company because it runs and drives for loading purposes. It is being sold with a bill of sale and all other paperwork I have for it. It is sold as is where is with no warranty of any kind. shipping costs or pick up is your responsability although I will help any way I can.I can make this car able to drive you home with normal maintenance and minimal repairs if you would rather pay me to go through the car rather than throw it away to shipping.the choice is yours. I forgot to mention the options are power steering, power brakes, power antenna, console mounted vaccuum guage, retractable trunk light. antenna works but doesnt go all the way up, trunk light works but doesnt retract automatically. the dash pad is perfect with no cracks and still somewhat soft.On Jan-28-11 at 14:32:05 PST, seller added the following information: to answer a couple of questions. yes it has a new dual exhaust system front to back installed on it, and yes the vacuum guage works great. wheels are 15" by 7". due to the tremendous amount of watchers on this car PLEASE ask questions asap.
