Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1968 Honda CL 450. This a a great bike that we acquired from a collection here in Florida. It had been sitting in a garage for some time before we found it. As always we would like to say that the pictures may make the bike look better than it may in person. However, I would like to tell you about the bike ( the good and the bad). First of all, the pictures show the bike without a chain. We have added a chain and have gotten the bike started and running. The bike starts up quickly and runs strong. It also shifts smoothly through the gears. The fenders as well as the wheels still retain good shiny chrome on them. All the cables are intact and work properly, as well as the electrics. The seat is in good shape with no tears in it, and the gauges have no cracks in the plastics and work as well. The sheet metal is ok with no dents in it, but needs painting. The tank is in decent shape and we have flowed fuel through it when we ran the bike. The tires are ok, but show signs of age and may need to be replaced depending on how you use the bike. The highlight of this beauty is the exhaust system. It is original and the chrome cleaned up very well. Overall this is a great bike and a great piece of Honda history that with some TLC would make a great daily driver or part of a collection. This bike has a clean title and is ready to go. If we can help in any way, email us and let us know. Thanks for looking and good luck.On Jan-25-11 at 12:32:00 PST, seller added the following information: Just a correction..................One of the Honda collectors that knows his stuff made we aware that the 450 gauges are not correct, probably for a 1971. Thanks to him for the input.
