You are bidding on a Barn find numbers matching 1957 Triumph Custom. This Triumph has been back halved with a 1948 Indian Chief Plunger Rear section. I have owned this bike for about 10 years, the gentleman I got it from had gotten it out of long term storage some years before that and had started to "work on the bike". He said the story was that the bike was done sometime in the early 60s, I do not know if it was ever completed or not, and the guy I got it from had changed the front end and had lost the original forks and such. The bike has a numbers matching frame and engine, neck number 110 07069, engine number T110 07069. The motor turns over and seems to have compression, it has a Lucas K2FR Magneto. The frame graft appears to have been done extremely well, as it flows nicely and is very solid. The 1948 Indian Chief rear plunger section has number 3483944 stamped in it and appears to be in excellent shape and I believe it is the original Indian rear wheel too. The bike is obviously missing some parts, so, what you see in the pics is what you get. I have a clear title for the bike, and it is still in the previous owners name.
