Up for sale……the Caddy that Zigs! The Catera was introduced in 1997 as an import fighter, targeting the owners of smaller BMWs and Mercedes-Benzs. During its five year production run, only 95,000 Cateras were built. During my family's ownership, this 1998 Catera was the only one of its kind listed in the Cadillac and LaSalle Club directory. Many improvements were made in its second year, 1998, which this car benefits from. It’s road manners are excellent, thanks to a 3.0 liter, 200 horsepower V-6. The four speed automatic transmission has a sport mode that is perfect for handling tight curves. With highway mileage in the upper 20s and a great Bose AM/FM CD sound system, this Catera is the combination of luxury and performance that you can afford. This car was my wife’s daily driver from October 2008 until November 2010, when we bought a brand new car. During our ownership, we have replaced the radiator, oil pressure sender, fan relay, intake manifold gasket, idler pulley, ABS computer, and ECM, as well as doing a complete brake job, with calipers. The transmission, always a weak spot in the Catera, was serviced in August 2010 by a transmission expert who found no problems. The paint is original, but there are the usual rust spots on the door edges and above the rear wheel. This car has served us very well, having carried us on two long distance vacations without fault. You have a great opportunity to purchase a pocket sized Cadillac that will provide excitement for years to come. Please note: The title history shows an error in the reported mileage. The dealer from which I bought the car skip titled it. As a result, it was branded not actual mileage by the Indiana BMV. To correct this, I have an affidavit and proof of mileage that will correct this issue when you title the car.
